Yuli Gurriel Streaking Into The Break
5 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel cranked two homers in the Astros 9-8 win over the Rockies on Tuesday. Gurriel went 3-for-5 with four runs batted in and is heating up heading as the All-Star break draws close. Over his last seven games, Gurriel is 12-for-29 (.414) with three doubles, five home runs and nine runs batted in. He has raised his slugging percentage 60 points during this span up to .449 on the season. The home run binge is not expected to last for Gurriel but has disappointed somewhat in the first half of the season. Gurriel has been nursing an ankle injury but it hasn't affected him at the plate at all. Gurriel is a sneaky play in DFS formats over the next few days during this hot streak.
