Wilmer Flores Goes Yard In Return To Starting Lineup
10 months agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman/designated hitter Wilmer Flores finished 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-4 win against the New York Mets. The 31-year-old went deep to knot the game at 2-2 during the fifth inning after Brandon Nimmo ran out of room to flag the ball down in center field. Flores returned to the starting lineup in this one versus his former team after missing a few weeks with a left foot contusion. The infielder is now batting .255 with a .778 OPS, eight homers, and 24 RBI across 161 at-bats this season. Flores is limited defensively and tends to hit mostly versus left-handed pitching, making him a lukewarm fantasy option in most competitive leagues.
