Will Fuller 2018 Outlook: Touchdown Regression Candidate
6 years agoOne of the most dangerous position we can find ourselves in, is when we fall in love with a player because the last time we saw him on the field he was over performing. We find that with two players on the Houston Texans. Deshaun Watson and Will Fuller were making fantasy owners look like geniuses in 2017 before both went down with injuries. In fact, the pace they were on will be incredibly difficult to duplicate.
Fuller missed the entire preseason and the first three games of the 2017 season with broken collarbone. When he returned in Week 4, Fuller went on to score seven touchdowns in the next four games before missing time again with a cracked rib. Fuller has now missed eight games in two seasons so if you are spending a mid-round pick on Fuller, you should have plenty of safe options behind him. Fuller only had two touchdowns in 14 games in 2016. Even with a massive upgrade with Watson at quarterback, you still cannot expect the same pace as last season as there will probably be regression all around. Fuller can offer you a WR3 season……..if he stays healthy.
