Washington Capitals goaltender Vitek Vanecek will go for a second consecutive win in Thursday's matchup with the Sabres. The 25-year-old ended a four-game slide in Tuesday's 3-1 victory over Pittsburgh. Vanecek sits on a 6-3-2 record and has posted a 3.06 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage. His numbers have taken a big hit this month, but the Sabres are struggling badly and the Capitals have 15 wins in the past 20 head-to-head meetings, so Vanecek should be able to grab another victory. He'll face Linus Ullmark in the opposite crease. The Swedish netminder is 3-2-2 for the season with a 2.63 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
