The Minnesota Vikings are closing in on a deal with two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Javon Hargrave and plan to sign him after his release from the San Francisco 49ers becomes official at the start of the new league year on Wednesday, sources tell NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. After signing former Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen to a three-year deal on Tuesday, it appears the Vikings aren't done adding to a defensive line that was lacking in the pass-rush department a year ago. Hargrave, 32, only played in two games for the 49ers last season due to a triceps injury that he suffered in Week 3, but he had 25.5 sacks from 2021-23 and will add some serious pass-rushing ability for Minnesota if he's fully healthy in 2025 alongside Allen. The Vikings' pass-rushing unit last year was the eighth-worst in the league.--Keith Hernandez
