It's unclear if Japanese pitching sensation Roki Sasaki will be posted for Major League Baseball clubs this winter. The Chiba Lotte Marines control the entire process for the 22-year-old phenom and can choose to keep him through the 2026 season if they so desire. We won't know the outcome on Sasaki until around the middle of November after the conclusion of the Nippon Professional Baseball season. With the difference in international bonus money available to teams being negligible, all 30 MLB teams will be looking to see if they can lure Sasaki to their organization. If the Marines post Sasaki before 2026, the would receive a posting fee of less than $2 million. In comparison, the Orix Buffaloes received a $50.6 million fee from the Dodgers on the deal for Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who was 25.
