Tyrod Taylor Officially Activated, Will Start Against Miami

The Houston Texans officially activated quarterback Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) from Injured Reserve on Saturday, and he is in line to start in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. Taylor's return means rookie Davis Mills will head back to the bench. In a corresponding move, linebacker Christian Kirksey (thumb) was placed on IR after having thumb surgery. Taylor threw for 416 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in two games before going down with his injury, and he should help Houston's offense be more productive than it was under Mills. And the 32-year-old will return to face a Dolphins defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to QBs through eight weeks. Taylor is in play as a QB2 in superflex leagues.
