Jailton Almeida suffered a split decision loss to Alexander Volkov on the main card of UFC 321 on Saturday. The fight was lackluster as Almeida mostly laid on Volkov, not doing any damage while controlling Volkov for almost 11 minutes. Despite taking down Volkov repeatedly during the fight, Almeida basically didn't damage Almeida at all, so the judges scored the fight in favor of Volkov. In 15 minutes of action, Almeida landed seven takedowns and nine significant strikes. With the loss, Almeida dropped to 8-2 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic
