Lane Kiffin Says Money Won't Impact his Decision-Making
Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is now rumored to be a candidate for the vacant Florida and LSU head coaching jobs, but the 50-year-old said money is not going to be a factor in his decision-making. "I have never made a decision based off money, nor will I," Kiffin said. "I've seen too many examples in life where money does not buy happiness. So I'm never going to make a decision off of money, nor do I care about it. Jimmy Sexton (his agent) gets really mad when I say that." Since taking over the Rebels' program in 2020, Kiffin has compiled a 51-19 record, including 29-17 in SEC play. Ole Miss is 7-1 through Week 9 and has a great chance to qualify for the College Football Playoff in 2025. Florida and LSU are widely considered to be better programs than Ole Miss, but if it truly isn't about the money for Kiffin, he could stay put in Oxford.
