Tyler O'Neill Not Playing Monday
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill is not in the team's starting lineup on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles on the road. O'Neill continues to manage a knee injury, so the Cardinals have been giving him regular rest of late. On top of injuries, the 28-year-old Canadian has disappointed in 2023, hitting .242 (54-for-223) with nine home runs, 14 doubles, 21 RBI, five stolen bases and 27 runs scored in 68 games for the Red Birds in his sixth big-league season. With O'Neill starting on the bench Monday, Tommy Edman is starting in center field and batting eighth in the order against Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer.
