2 years agoNew Orleans Saints rookie first-round offensive tackle Trevor Penning (toe) is expected to be activated from Injured Reserve this weekend ahead of the Week 12 game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to sources. The 19th overall pick in this year's draft underwent toe surgery and has yet to make his NFL debut. It should come this Sunday against a stout Niners defensive line, which is good news for the Saints offense. Before his injury, the 6-foot-7 tackle was expected to play a significant role on the O-line right away, so he should play meaningful offensive snaps the rest of the way for the Saints.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
