Titans Release Robert Woods
2 years agoThe Tennessee Titans released wide receiver Robert Woods on Wednesday, according to sources. Moving on from Woods will save the Titans around $12 million in salary cap space in 2023. The 30-year-old veteran came over from the Los Angeles Rams last season and disappointed with only 53 receptions on 91 targets for 527 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games in Tennessee's run-heavy offense. For comparison, he had more yards (556) and touchdowns (four) in just nine games with the Rams the year prior. Woods' 9.9 yard-per-reception mark was the lowest in his career, and while a change of scenery could help him bounce back, we've probably already seen the best of Woods in the NFL.
