Tigers Plan To Activate Riley Greene Saturday
1 year agoThe Detroit Tigers plan is to activate outfielder Riley Greene (leg) from the 10-day injured list on Saturday, according to manager A.J. Hinch. Greene is expected to serve as the designated hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays and right-hander Kevin Gausman. The 22-year-old will be returning from a five-week absence due to a stress reaction in his left fibula. He should be swooped up off the waiver wire in all fantasy leagues where he's available. Greene went 6-for-12 with a home run and a double on his three-game minor-league rehab assignment and was hitting an impressive .296 (60-for-203) with five home runs, nine doubles, three triples, 18 RBI, six stolen bases and 29 runs scored in 52 games played before his injury as Detroit's regular center fielder.
