1 year agoMinnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson (back), who has been dealing with an ear infection during training camp, missed most of practice on Wednesday with lower-back stiffness. Hockenson's ear infection has gotten better, but now he's dealing with a back injury that has him listed as day-to-day. The Vikings aren't ruling out a return for Hockenson as early as Thursday for a joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals. "We're at that time," head coach Kevin O'Connell said, "where we just want to be smart with guys we know we're going to be relying on and make sure that their preparation for [the regular season] is what we want." As long as the 26-year-old is ready to roll for Week 1 of the regular season, fantasy managers should consider him a top-five tight end in Minnesota's pass-happy offense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
