5 years agoThe New Orleans Saints are planning to place a first-round tender on impending restricted free-agent quarterback Taysom Hill, according to a source. The Saints will have a chance to match an offer sheet that he could receive from another team. If he departs, they'd receive a first-round pick. It's looking increasingly likely that Hill will stay on board as the Saints QB of the future after Drew Brees retires, with Teddy Bridgewater likely hitting the open market and going elsewhere. Hill has mainly been used as a gadget player and receiver with New Orleans, though, so it remains to be seen if he'd be effective as the starting signal-caller. He's a dynasty league stash but won't have much redraft value unless Brees gets hurt.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
