Ryquell Armstead 2020 Outlook: Higher Ceiling Than Before
5 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Ryquell Armstead may have a chance to serve as the team's No. 1 option at the position after the team parted ways with Leonard Fournette at the end of August. The 23-year-old finished 2019 with only 108 yards off of 35 carries but did manage to find the end zone twice on the receiving end. With Fournette out of the picture, Armstead clearly has a higher ceiling than he did at the start of training camp; however, he still has a way to go before he is considered a viable option in the earlier rounds of fantasy drafts, primarily with the team having Chris Thompson on the roster to steal some rushes and targets. Nonetheless, for those who have drafted already, the former Temple Owl should be swiped off of the waiver wire as soon as possible, especially for those in need of a back with a significant upside.
