1 year agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman Ryan Mountcastle (shoulder) is not in the team's starting lineup on Friday as they face the visiting Tampa Bay Rays. The good news is that Mountcastle doesn't have any structural damage in his left shoulder and isn't expected to go on the injured list, but he'll miss his second straight game entering the weekend. Ryan O'Hearn is starting at first base and will hit cleanup for the O's, with rookie Heston Kjerstad making his big-league debut as the designated hitter while batting seventh against Rays right-hander Zach Eflin. In his fourth season with Baltimore, Mountcastle is slashing .269/.327/.453 with 18 home runs, 20 doubles, a triple, 67 RBI, three stolen bases and 63 runs scored in 111 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
