2 years agoPittsburgh Pirates left-hander Rich Hill (illness) was scratched from his Grapefruit League outing on Sunday against the Atlanta Braves due to an illness, according to the team. Wil Crowe will start in his place. It would be a surprise if Hill isn't ready for the start of the 2023 regular season. In just three spring starts, Hill has allowed six earned runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out six in eight innings pitched. The 43-year-old veteran southpaw ended up starting 26 games for the Boston Red Sox in 2022 and wasn't half bad, but there's just no fantasy upside here, especially now that he's pitching for one of the worst teams in baseball.
