Anthony Volpe Retreats to the Bench
Anthony Volpe is out of the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins. After missing six games due to a left shoulder injury, Volpe returned to the lineup on Tuesday. He did fairly well at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double, walk, and an RBI. Despite the solid performance, Volpe will head to the bench a day later. Maybe, the Yankees want to be cautious with Volpe considering he was out with a partially torn labrum. Regardless, Jose Caballero will take over at shortstop and bat ninth against right-hander Taj Bradley on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should check back on Thursday to see if Volpe is back in the mix for that one.
