11/6:The Tampa Bay Rays have had discussions with the Seattle Mariners regarding catcher Mike Zunino, according to sources. Nick Ciuffo and Michael Perez are the only two backstops currently on Tampa's 40-man roster, and they have played in a combined 40 games in the majors. David Freitas is the only other catcher on the Mariners roster, and he's played in just 42 career games. Zunino has a ton of swing and miss to his game (.201 batting average), but he managed to hit 20 home runs in 373 at-bats, which gives him value in fantasy leagues. The Mariners are contemplating a rebuild this offseason, so most of their assets are available.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
