Rays Reinstate Yandy Diaz From Paternity List
1 year agoThe Tampa Bay Rays reinstated infielder Yandy Diaz from the paternity list on Monday and optioned infielder Jonathan Aranda to Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move. Diaz, who homered last Tuesday in his first All-Star game, will be making his first start of the second half of the season on Monday when the team starts a series against the Texas Rangers. The 31-year-old was also hot to end the first half of the season, so fantasy managers will be hoping he can pick up where he left off. Diaz has been a must-start in all fantasy lineups in 2023, as he's hitting .323 (96-for-297) with 13 home runs, 18 doubles, 43 RBI and 58 runs scored in 78 games so far. He also leads the league with his .408 on-base percentage. The only thing Diaz won't help with is stolen bases.
