Veteran Ranger Suarez had another typical season in 2025 for the Philadelphia Phillies. His continued success led to a five-year, $130 million contract with the Boston Red Sox this offseason. Suarez should slot in as their number two or three starter. The lefty went 12-8 with a 3.20 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP, and 151 strikeouts in 157 innings last season. He is a master of limiting hard contact, with a paltry 86.5 MPH exit velocity and 31.1% hard-hit rate in 2025. Both of those ratios were well within his career norms, so we can expect more of the same in his age-30 season. With an ADP of 193 over the last two weeks in NFBC drafts, Suarez is being picked in the 17th round of 12-team drafts. That makes him the 75th pitcher off the board in these early drafts. Expect Suarez to win 10-12 games, post an ERA of 3.50, and have 150 strikeouts in 2026. He is an excellent choice for those fantasy players looking for their fourth starter at this point in drafts.--Mike Carter
