The Las Vegas Raiders have signed free agent linebacker Michael Barrett to an undisclosed contract. Josh Alper of NBC Sports reported the news. Wesley Steiner was waived in a corresponding move. The Carolina Panthers selected the Michigan product in the seventh round of the 2024 draft, but the team traded him to Seattle in August for defensive back Michael Jackson. Barrett spent the 2024 season split between the practice squads of the Seahawks, Browns, and Packers, and was activated by Green Bay in Week 18. However, he did not play. The 25-year-old figures to provide the Raiders some depth at linebacker as they continue to shuffle around their defense.--Alex Ciulla
