3 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies recalled outfielder Mickey Moniak and right-hander Mauricio Llovera from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday and placed left-hander Bailey Falter and right-hander JD Hammer on the COVID-19 injured list in corresponding moves. Moniak, the former No. 1 overall pick and the team's No. 11 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, has a weak .154/.283/.231 slash line in just 46 career plate appearances at the MLB level, including going 3-for-25 with a his first career homer and three RBI this season. The 23-year-old left-handed hitter was slashing .245/.305/.462 with 10 long balls, 43 RBI and three steals in 57 games for Lehigh Valley this year, though. Moniak won't be guaranteed to see regular at-bats in his most recent call-up, so he should remain on the waiver wire in mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
