1 year agoThe San Francisco Giants placed rookie catcher Patrick Bailey (concussion) on the seven-day concussion injured list on Wednesday and recalled catcher Joey Bart from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move. The Giants also recalled outfielder Luis Matos from Sacramento and optioned outfielder Wade Meckler to Sacramento. Bailey suffered a concussion on Tuesday night during a collision with Cubs infielder Jeimer Candelario, and now he'll miss at least the next week. With Bailey sidelined, the Giants will rotate Blake Sabol and Bart behind the plate for the foreseeable future. The 24-year-old Bailey has hit .248 (70-for-282) with seven home runs, 45 RBI and 26 runs scored for the Giants in his first 84 major-league games in 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
