On Saturday's UFC Vegas 105 main card opener, Robert Valentin suffered a split decision loss to undefeated Torrez Finney. Valentin was outwrestled for more than 13 minutes of the fight, but Finney didn't land any damaging shots, nor did he threaten Valentin with submission attempts. It wasn't the most exciting fight, but surprisingly enough, one judge gave all three rounds to Valentin. In 15 minutes of action, Valentin landed 23 significant strikes. Valentin is still winless in the UFC and is now on a two-fight losing streak.

Undefeated Torrez Finney won a split decision over Robert Valentin on Saturday at the UFC Vegas 105 main card opener. Finney managed to take Valentin down time and time again, but he didn't do much after securing takedowns. Once the fight hit the canvas, Finney did almost nothing except hold Valentin down. Finney scored eight takedowns out of 17 attempts and racked up 13 minutes of control time. Interestingly enough, the official scorecards were in favor of Finney via split decision, with one judge scoring the fight 30-27 in favor of Valentin.
