Keith Mitchell May Be a Risky Option at Wyndham Championship
Keith Mitchell has put together a solid season, recording six top-25 finishes and just three missed cuts in 21 events. Tom Kim Chasing Another Wyndham Championship Title
After missing the cut at The Open Championship, Tom Kim bounced back nicely at the 3M Open, gaining more than 8.2 strokes tee to green on his way to a T20 finish. He now returns to the Wyndham Championship, the tournament where he broke onto the scene with his victory in 2022. That week, Kim put together one of the best putting performances in recent memory, gaining an insane 12.5 strokes with the flat stick. This season, he ranks just 100th in putting (-0.091 strokes per round), but remains elite on approach (fifth, +0.679) and around the green (29th, +0.250). Accuracy is also key at Sedgefield, and Kim ranks 31st in driving accuracy. At $9,200 on DraftKings, he is likely to be one of the week's most popular plays and has the upside to contend for another Wyndham Championship victory.

Emiliano Grillo Looks to Stay Hot at the Wyndham Championship
Emiliano Grillo has put together a very solid stretch over the past couple of months, recording five straight finishes of T31 or better. He now turns to the Wyndham Championship, where he has struggled in three previous appearances, posting results of a missed cut, T59, and T44. Much of Grillo's recent success has been fueled by a hot putter, gaining an average of more than 2.9 strokes per tournament on the greens over that span. He also ranks 80th in strokes gained off the tee (+0.046 per round), 60th on approach (+0.209), and an impressive ninth in driving accuracy. If he continues to find fairways and the putter stays hot, Grillo has a great chance to return value at just $7,300 on DraftKings.

Tony Finau Needs a Big Week at the Wyndham Championship
Tony Finau continued his struggles at the Rocket Classic, losing more than 6.9 total strokes on Sunday and falling to T71. He now turns to the Wyndham Championship, where he finished T44 last year. Finau has struggled throughout the bag this season, ranking 108th off the tee (-0.094 strokes per round), 119th on approach (-0.172), and 108th in putting (-0.154). The lone bright spot has been his short game, where he ranks 27th around the green (+0.256). Finau sits 89th in the FedExCup points race, meaning he will need something special to make the top 70 and sneak into the playoffs. Given what we have seen from Finau this year, it's hard to imagine it will happen.

Eric Cole Looking to Bounce Back at Sedgefield
Eric Cole struggled with his ball striking at the Rocket Classic, losing more than 5.2 strokes combined off the tee and on approach on his way to his sixth missed cut of the season. He now looks to bounce back at the Wyndham Championship, where he has finishes of T14, T7, and T74 in three appearances. Cole ranks among the worst drivers on Tour, sitting 151st in strokes gained off the tee (-0.542 per round). He has been much stronger elsewhere, ranking 84th on approach (+0.071), 11th around the green (+0.397), and fifth in putting (+0.598). Putting is often the separator at Sedgefield, and at $7,400 on DraftKings, Cole offers intriguing upside with the flat stick, but he will need to find more consistency off the tee.

Justin Thomas Looks to Find Ball-Striking Form in Greensboro
Coming off underwhelming performances across the pond, Justin Thomas needs to find some momentum this week at the Wyndham Championship to get inside the top 30 on the FedEx Cup points list. His play on and around the green has been serviceable all season, but the ball striking has fluctuated, which is the explanation for his time in the UK. Considering the shot-making required around Sedgefield, it seems like a place tailor-made for JT, but it's only resulted in one decent performance (T12 in 2023) in four career appearances. Still, the 33-year-old has as high a ceiling as anyone, considering his proficiency in his wedge game and short iron play. Part of which ranks second on the season in strokes gained around the green (0.532). For those looking for home run hitters in the regular season finale, Thomas makes reasonable sense.

Aaron Rai a Risky Play at Wyndham Championship With Large Upside
It's been a poor run for Aaron Rai lately, as the PGA Championship winner has missed his last two cuts, from both poor putting and underwhelming play from tee to green. He'll be making his fifth career start at this week's Wyndham Championship, where he won in 2024. The approach play, while normally the Englishman's bread and butter, has been in a slump over the past several weeks. A return to a familiar place full of good memories may be good for a formidable playoff push, especially since Sedgefield will provide all the opportunities needed to get a handle on the iron play. As far as DFS recommendations go, it's more of a decision between what he's known to be capable of and what he's shown recently. Because right now, the ceiling seems as high as the floor is low.

Brooks Koepka Needs a Strong Week at Wyndham Championship to Keep Season Alive
Sitting at 86th on the FedEx Cup list, Brooks Koepka needs a solid week in Greensboro to sneak his way inside the top 70. It's been strange seeing him waiting at tour events to get in as an alternate, but it could be the reality again in 2027 if he doesn't find some form come Thursday. The ball striking off the tee has stuttered in recent events, and the putter has never found its rhythm all season long. The one saving grace is that he still ranks highly in his approach play across the board. If the driver can return to a usable form, his eighth-ranked strokes gained on approach metric will have plenty of opportunities to flex its muscle. From there, the question is if he can make enough putts to capitalize. The 36-year-old screams boom-or-bust, which is likely the strategy he will employ, and DFS managers will have to weigh the risk vs. the potential reward. And no one would be surprised if Koepka found a spark this week.

Michael Kim Needs Good Form to Continue at Wyndham Championship
After a T10 finish in Minnesota two weeks ago, Michael Kim followed it up with a T8 this past Sunday in Detroit. The ball striking wasn't nearly as crisp, but the hot putter that added his name to the list of players to shoot a 59 returned to average 1.58 strokes gained putting at the Rocket Classic. He's making the start in the tour's regular season finale this week at the Wyndham Championship, where a lone T5 finish in 2023 is the one bright spot for what has been an otherwise poor venue for the 33-year-old. The inconsistent ball striking that lingers in his game has been his undoing around Sedgefield, but a strong putter can overcome many woes. It certainly did last week, and the thought of relying on that in a DFS format may be too much risk for most.
