St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn (ankle) left the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with a left-ankle sprain. He suffered the injury in the third inning when he tripped rounding third base, and was later pulled from the game before the top of the fifth. The specifics of the severity of the injury are not yet known, but hopefully the shortstop won't need another trip to the injured list after already spending time there this season with back spasms. He was finally starting to come around in the recent weeks, batting .333 with two home runs and two steals since April 22.--Jeremy Heist - RotoBallerSource: Katie Woo

San Diego Padres infielder Xander Bogaerts is off to a slow start this season, but he put together a nice game on Sunday. Bogaerts opened up the scoring in the first inning with a RBI single. He would drive in two more runs with a double in the second frame. This was a surprising productive day from Bogaerts who has been in a bad slump recently. He finished the game 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI, a stolen base, and a walk in the win. Despite the slow start, Bogaerts has a good enough track record to warrant rostering in most fantasy formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Jhoan Duran was called upon to hold a one-run lead against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. The right-hander gave up a two-out single, but ended up striking out Jarren Duran to earn his fourth save of the season. Duran has recorded saves in back-to-back games, but he has been pretty quiet before that. To be fair, it's not really his fault as the Twins aren't winning too many games to give Duran save chances. The right-hander is one of the better relief pitchers in the league as seen by his 1.17 ERA on the season. Despite the lack of chances, Duran needs to be rostered in most fantasy formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Boston Red Sox outfielder Wilyer Abreu broke out of his mini slump at the plate during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Twins. Abreu was 0-for-11 over his last three games coming into Sunday's contest. He was able to turn it around at the plate during this game. He went 3-for-4 at the plate which includes a solo home run off right-hander Griffin Jax in the eighth inning. Abreu has been one of the biggest surprises this season and he should be rostered in most fantasy formats going forward. If he's available, fantasy managers better make sure to scoop him up before it's too late.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Kansas City Royals infielder Maikel Garcia isn't known for his power, but showed some over the fence pop during Sunday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. Garcia took right-hander Kyle Gibson deep in the second inning. He would later homer again, but this time off reliever Bryan Baker in the sixth inning. Garcia would finish his day 3-for-5 with two solo homers and two RBI in the win. After this game, Garcia is slashing .319/.379/.496 with four long balls, 14 RBI, and seven steals. Garcia is quickly picking up steam in fantasy leagues and is someone worth monitoring in most 12-team formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Baltimore Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday came ready to swing the bat during Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals. Holliday took right-hander Michael Lorenzen deep in the second inning. He got him again in the fourth inning, but Holliday's two-homer game still wasn't enough to get the O's the win. He finished the game 3-for-4 as he extended his hitting streak to five games. It hasn't been a great start to the season for Holliday, but it looks like he's finally getting the bat going.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) was forced to exit early during Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers. Arozarena was pulled out of the contest in the sixth inning due to a hamstring issue, according to manager Dan Wilson. Before exiting, Arozarena went 1-for-3 with a single. He was replaced by Rhylan Thomas who could see more playing time if Arozarena misses time from this issue. It's worth noting the Mariners were getting crushed in this game, so maybe Arozarena's departure was purely precautionary. Fantasy managers will need to check back on Monday to see if Arozarena is back in the lineup.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Adam Jude

Updating a previous report, Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Shota Imanaga (hamstring) made an early exit from Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The southpaw suffered a leg injury while covering first base in the sixth inning. He exited the contest and has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain. He finished the day tossing 5 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits while striking out four batters. The expectation is that Imanaga will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the issue. Fantasy managers should prepare for Imanaga to miss time, but will need to check back for a timetable on the southpaw. Chris Flexen or Cade Horton figure to be the primary options to replace Imanaga if he misses time.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Athletics starting pitcher JP Sears was once again sharp on the mound during Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins. The left-hander went 6 1/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits, while striking out two batters. Sears isn't the biggest name out there, but he was quietly put together a strong season. Over his last four starts, Sears has posted a 1.95 ERA while allowing two earned runs or less in all those outings. Overall, Sears has a 2.93 ERA with a 32/6 K/BB ratio across seven starts. He has been a popular waiver wire pickup over the last few weeks. He'll have a tough matchup ahead of him against the New York Yankees next week.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Garrett Crochet was solid on the mound during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Twins. He tossed five innings, allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out six batters. His command wasn't great in this one, but he still was able to limit the damage to one earned run. Crochet has been impressive with his new team this season. He has allowed two earned runs or less in every start, but one this season. He'll take his 2.02 ERA into his next start against the Kansas City Royals. If it's not obvious, Crochet is a must-start in all fantasy formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: mlb.com

New York Mets outfielder Jesse Winker (side) was taken out early during Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Winker was pulled out in the fourth inning due to right side discomfort. The Mets moved players around and shifted Jeff McNeil out into left field to replace Winker. The left-handed slugger will almost certainly sit out the second game of the doubleheader. The expectation is that Winker will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. Fantasy managers should get another update on his status shortly.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Tim Healey

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick (knee) was taken out early during Sunday's game against the Chicago Cubs. Frelick reportedly injured his left knee while taking a swing in the second inning. He remained in the game a little longer before being replaced by Daz Cameron. The expectation is that Cameron will undergo further imaging to determine the severity of the injury. Cameron would likely see increased playing time if this is something that puts Frelick on the injured list.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Milwaukee Brewers

Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher Tanner Bibee (legs) made an early exit from Sunday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The right-hander looked fine until he took the mound to warm up ahead of the sixth inning. Bibee quickly signaled to the training staff and exited the ballgame before throwing a pitch in the sixth. It's being reported that Bibee left this game due to cramping in his legs. This is something that Bibee has dealt with throughout his career. That being said, Bibee shouldn't need to miss time from this issue, but fantasy managers should stay tuned for more information. Before exiting, Bibee tossed five innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out three batters.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Joe Noga

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Shota Imanaga (leg) was removed early during Sunday's start against the Milwaukee Brewers with an apparent leg injury. The southpaw was seen limping after covering first base during the sixth inning. Imanga exited the game afterwards and will likely undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. For now, fantasy managers should consider Imanaga as day-to-day until the Cubs give another update on his status. He tossed 5 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits while striking out four batters on Sunday. His next start would come against the New York Mets next weekend, assuming he doesn't miss any time.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Maddie Lee

The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled left-handed pitcher Tommy Henry from Triple-A Reno. In a corresponding move, the Diamondbacks have optioned right-handed pitcher Scott McGough to Triple-A Reno. Henry will be making his first stint in Arizona this season. Last summer, the southpaw logged 38 1/3 innings in the desert to the tune of a 7.04 ERA and a 1.75 WHIP. During this stint, Henry struck out just 30 batters and served up walks at a high 9.9 percent rate. In 2023, Henry held a 4.15 ERA with a 1.36 WHIP across a career-high 89 innings of work. Fantasy managers should expect Henry to provide depth out of the bullpen. If he pitches well, he could eventually earn a long relief role, especially with both Merrill Kelly (hamstring) and Corbin Burnes (shoulder) dealing with injuries.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Arizona Diamondbacks
