Strawweight champion Weili Zhang picked up a unanimous decision win over Tatiana Suarez in the co-main event of UFC 312 on Saturday. After being outwrestled in the first round, Zhang completely took over as she dominated Suarez on the feet and shut down her repeated takedown attempts. In 25 minutes of action, Zhang landed a takedown and 53 significant strikes. With the victory, Zhang defended the title for the third time. Tatiana Suarez suffered a clear-cut unanimous decision loss to Zhang Weili in the co-main event of UFC 312 on Saturday. Justin Tafa suffered a first-round TKO loss to Tallison Teixeira on Saturday's main card of UFC 312. Teixeira forced Tafa up against the cage where he landed a knee followed by an elbow that dropped and finished Tafa. The fight lasted only 35 seconds and Tafa didn't throw any strikes. On Saturday, Tallison Teixeira scored a first-round TKO win over Justin Tafa on the main card of UFC 312. It took Teixeira only 35 seconds for Teixeira to land a knee followed by a devastating elbow that finished Tafa. Teixeira, who graduated from Dana White's Contender Series last summer, improved to 8-0 in MMA. In 35 seconds of action, Teixeira landed eight significant strikes. Rodolfo Bellato fought Jimmy Crute to a draw on the main card of UFC 312. Bellato was dominated in the first round as he was dropped and controlled for nearly four minutes. However, the Brazilian then rallied back to outstrike Crute in the second and third rounds and two of the judges had it a draw due to Crute getting a 10-8 round. Jimmy Crute fought Rodolfo Bellato to a majority draw on the main card of UFC 312 on Saturday in Australia. Crute entered the bout as the underdog as he was ending his year-and-a-half layoff as he stepped away from the sport. In the fight, Crute dominated the first round as he dropped Bellato and had nearly four minutes of control to get a 10-8 round. Sean Strickland suffered a decision loss to Dricus Du Plessis in the main event of UFC 312 for the middleweight title. Strickland and Du Plessis were rematching from their January 2024 fight which Du Plessis won by split decision to become the new champ. In the rematch, Strickland was hesitant on the feet as the champ landed the better shots, while Strickland had his nose broken in the fourth round.
