After being outwrestled in the first round, Zhang completely took over as she dominated Suarez on the feet and shut down her repeated takedown attempts. In 25 minutes of action, Zhang landed a takedown and 53 significant strikes. With the victory, Zhang defended the title for the third time. She is now 26-3 as a pro and is 10-2 in the UFC.

Crute entered the bout as the underdog as he was ending his year-and-a-half layoff as he stepped away from the sport. In the fight, Crute dominated the first round as he dropped Bellato and had nearly four minutes of control to get a 10-8 round. However, Crute was outstruck in the final two rounds as one judge said he won but two had it a draw. Crute is now 4-4-2 in the UFC and is winless in his last five fights.

Sean Strickland suffered a decision loss to Dricus Du Plessis in the main event of UFC 312 for the middleweight title. Strickland and Du Plessis were rematching from their January 2024 fight which Du Plessis won by split decision to become the new champ. In the rematch, Strickland was hesitant on the feet as the champ landed the better shots, while Strickland had his nose broken in the fourth round. With the loss, Strickland fell to 29-7 and is 16-7 in the UFC.
