Welcome RotoBallers to our fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season. Sunday was chock-full of massive performances and disappointments. It was nice to see Detroit rebound in their 52-21 mollywhopping of the Bears. On the other side of that coin, the Packers' defense looks legit. Not to mention Daniel Jones and the Colts start 2-0 while the Chiefs haven't won an outing since the AFC Championship in January.
The early part of the season is always a blast, as we get to react to new and changing data. That also makes it a critical time to lock in and note trends that may adapt from one week to the next. Sometimes, this time frame can be fluid. Others, it shapes the landscape of a given season. We'll do our best to parse through so you don't have to. Because two games are remaining and there were (fortunately) few notable injuries, this week's pickings are mildly slim.
With that said, I urge you to examine last week's feature, checking for any remaining stragglers still available. Each asset below is available in 50% or more of leagues, and listed in order of priority. Please consider your league's unique scoring when scouring this list, as PPR is generally assumed. Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups
Wan'Dale Robinson, New York Giants - 22% rostered
Wan'Dale Robinson's roster ownership increased by elevenfold after last week's feature in this column, and he's poised to make at least one more jump after another strong showing. Building off a solid 6/55 line in Week 1, the 24-year-old erupted for his first 100-yard effort since Week 11 of 2022, compiling eight catches, 142 yards (career-high), and a touchdown.
Those were all good for the Giants' second-best marks in their wild 40-37 OT loss to the Cowboys.

The University of Kentucky product is averaging nine targets per contest, so the numbers aren't fluky. Interestingly, fellow wide receiver Darius Slayton has tallied a 132-99 snap lead over Robinson through the first two weeks. You wouldn't know it by checking the box score, as the latter has him handily beaten in opportunities and production.
I still have some reserves here, particularly with Jaxson Dart waiting in the wings; he mixed in for three plays on Sunday and did not attempt a pass. Still, Robinson's production can't be ignored. If you're interested, this might be your last chance to get him.
Troy Franklin, Denver Broncos - 3% rostered
The Broncos and Colts took it down to the wire this weekend, with Jones eking out a win over Bo Nix and the squad to start his tenure in Indy a perfect 2-0. Just as we all predicted. Nix and Denver's offense got back on track (mostly), and fantasy managers who took a chance on Troy Franklin during last week's waiver period were rewarded with a career day.
Franklin set personal bests in targets (nine), catches (eight), and yards (89), and also caught his first touchdown of 2025.
Not only did the former Oregon Duck pace his teammates in each significant receiving statistic in Week 2, he also led them all in snaps -- notching four more than Courtland Sutton (49). Franklin's rapport with his quarterback appears to be building, and Denver has responded accordingly. After Marvin Mims Jr. was on the field only five plays fewer than Franklin in Week 1, the latter more than doubled him up in Week 2 (21).
I'm not calling my shot here, but Franklin needs to be closely monitored over the next few weeks. There's a slight chance of a "changing of the guard" in Denver.
Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers - 16% rostered
Green Bay's receiving corps seems like a jumbled mess, but one thing has remained a constant -- Romeo Doubs leading the pack in snaps. Despite totaling just five catches and 96 yards through two games (nine targets), those are the best marks amongst the team's wideouts. Sure, Jordan Love likes to disperse his attempts evenly. But Doubs should amass a few more targets with the news of teammate Jayden Reed (collarbone) and his fractured collarbone.
There's still some risk here, as it feels like the floor of Green Bay's passing offense could bottom out at any time with the team's inclination toward a run-centric game plan. Be that as it may, the only Packers' pass-catcher other than Doubs to clear a 70% snap share through the first two weeks is tight end Tucker Kraft.
Even if Kraft takes on the team's "WR1" role, Doubs should see a considerable amount of work with both Reed and Christian Watson (knee) a ways from return.
Cedric Tillman, Cleveland Browns - 39% rostered
Cleveland's offense has yet to score more than 17 points, but Sunday marked back-to-back weeks with a touchdown for Cedric Tillman. I thought the Browns would put up more of a fight on offense against their division rivals. Nonetheless, the University of Tennessee product again accrued the second-most targets on his team (seven).
This time, though, he out-snapped Jerry Jeudy 69-64.
Tillman now has 15 targets through his first two appearances. While it didn't amount to much in Week 2's box score (2/22), the volume is encouraging. He probably won't completely supplant Jeudy, nor will he have Joe Flacco throwing him the ball all season (Dillon Gabriel came in for seven snaps during the loss). However, he's out on the field most of the time, and the Browns are attempting a pass at the third-highest rate in the league (67.8%)
If Cleveland and running back Quinshon Judkins can get the ground game going consistently, more lanes will open up through the air for Tillman and the receiving room.
Elic Ayomanor, Tennessee Titans - 8% rostered
I've tinkered with the idea of moving Elic Ayomanor further up the list ahead of Week 3's waivers, but I'm erring on the side of caution with rookie signal-caller Cam Ward's growing pains. Even with Ward learning on the job, he's flashed some upside. Moreover, he and his rookie wideout's chemistry is growing.
Ayomanor was on the receiving end of Ward's first passing score this weekend -- an absurd, scrambling, fade-away, cross-body throw from 15 yards behind the LoS.

That's an ill-advised play. Fun to watch, though, and optimistically, a sign of things to come. Ayomanor isn't the most sudden of athletes, but he broke out with 1,013 yards as a sophomore at Stanford and only trails Calvin Ridley in playing time. It was noted in his prospect profile that the 22-year-old has the work ethic and traits for "rapid improvement." He might be somewhat of a slow burn (to minor fault of his own), but the ceiling makes him worth it.
Deeper Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Pickups
Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers - 1% rostered
It's very possible that, in retrospect, Dontayvion Wicks won't be a good idea -- primarily for many of the same reasons I outlined above regarding his teammate, Doubs. Despite that, I'm willing to take a chance on him, given that Reed (collarbone) won't be there for a while, and first-year pro Matthew Golden is still adjusting to the NFL.
Wicks has arguably been Green Bay's best pure route-runner in his tenure with the team, and he's lethal on out-breaking patterns.
Wicks and Golden are neck-and-neck in snaps, with the rookie edging out the former by a mere four after two games. However, Wicks has doubled his targets, tripled his catches, and accrued more than quadruple his yards. Golden will come on eventually, but the Louisiana native should have some value in the early going.
He's nothing more than a low-end PPR flex asset until he strings together a few more performances like this.
Dyami Brown, Jacksonville Jaguars - 1% rostered
There are several issues with the Jaguars' offense at the moment, and most of them stem from Trevor Lawrence. Beyond that, there are other interesting fantasy insights to glean. For instance, how Dyami Brown might be the offense's No. 2 option at wide receiver. It isn't readily apparent as Travis Hunter leads Jacksonville with nine receptions. Brown has him in snap share, however, and increased the gap in their loss to the Bengals.
Hunter trailed the University of North Carolina alum in snaps 47-42 in Week 1's win over the visiting Panthers. The difference in Week 2 was much more stark, with Brown leading by a margin of 15. Notably, the main difference between those two outings was that Hunter played decidedly more snaps on defense in their loss to Cincinnati -- posting 43 as opposed to six the week prior.
Such is the risk of an athlete who plays both ways. The Jags may decide to limit Hunter's offensive snaps on occasion, ceding way for Brown to make an impact. As previously noted, Jacksonville's passing attack is struggling significantly at this time. The jury is still out on their defensive unit, but losing a semi-shootout to Jake Browning isn't a particularly encouraging sign. Even bad volume can be good volume, but I think Lawrence eventually turns it around.
Hunter Renfrow, Carolina Panthers - 1% rostered
I chose to highlight Xavier Legette here in last week's edition. Still, I'm changing my tune for Week 3 after his historically bad one-catch, negative-two-yard performance on Sunday (eight targets). I still have hope for Legette, but I would rather go after his teammate, Hunter Renfrow, if I needed some low-end PPR help.
The crafty veteran was a non-factor in Week 1, but pulled in 7-of-9 targets for 48 yards and two scores in their loss to the Cardinals.

Renfrow's game hasn't changed. He isn't the biggest or the fastest guy. But boy, is he a pristine separator. The 29-year-old's routes are a thing of beauty, and he has excellent hands, presenting as a valuable outlet for his young quarterback. Rookie Tetairoa McMillan is the unquestioned WR1, but there seems to be room for at least one more modest target earner here.
If Bryce Young and the Panthers are going to attempt a pass 68.1% of the time (second-most), then both Legette and Renfrow may see productive outings. I'd bet that figure comes down to some extent, but Carolina should find themselves in pass-friendly game scripts more often than not.
The former Clemson Tiger would be tough to trust outside of leagues that award a point for catches.
