SI.com's Albert Breer reports that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder), who was shut down on the second day of organized team activities last week, will seek another opinion on his troublesome right shoulder with Dr. Neal ElAttrache this week. ElAttrache is the one who did Richardson's AC-joint surgery in 2023. The Colts said that the 23-year-old former first-rounder's shoulder was structurally sound, but the fact that he's visiting with the same doctor that did his surgery isn't good news, and he'll also miss mandatory minicamp this week. There's currently no timetable for Richardson's return, and it's fair to wonder if he'll even be ready for the start of training camp at the end of July. Richardson could still be ready for Week 1 this fall, but right now, his injury increases the chances that Daniel Jones will open the 2025 season as Indy's starting QB.--Keith HernandezSource: SI.com - Albert Breer

The Diamondbacks announced that they have placed right-hander Kendall Graveman (hip) on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 8, with a right hip impingement. The team recalled righty Christian Montes De Oca from Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move. While Graveman began the season on the IL with back problems, he made his season debut a few weeks ago and pitched well in eight appearances from May 13 to June 5. The 34-year-old allowed just two earned runs in that span, but the wheels came off Saturday in a 13-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Graveman coughed up six earned runs on five hits and walked two during an inning of work. As a result, his ERA shot to 8.64 over 8 1/3 frames. He has also surrendered 14 hits and recorded more walks (five) than strikeouts (three).--Connor ByrneSource: Arizona Diamondbacks

The Athletics announced on Monday that they optioned infield prospect Logan Davidson and catcher Jhonny Pereda back to Triple-A Las Vegas and reinstated first baseman Nick Kurtz (hip) from the 10-day injured list and added catcher Austin Wynns to the active roster. Davidson, who is ranked as the team's No. 30 prospect on MLB Pipeline, recently got his first major-league call-up but went 3-for-20 with a double, two RBI, a run scored, three walks and 12 strikeouts in his first nine games in the Show. With Kurtz returning from a short stint on the IL, Davidson will head back to the farm to work on his craft with the Aviators. If the 27-year-old makes it back to the big leagues this year, he'll serve in a super-utility role in Sacramento. At best, he's one to stash in deep dynasty/keeper leagues.--Keith HernandezSource: A's Communications

Red Sox right-hander Tanner Houck (elbow) threw a bullpen session Saturday and will throw another one sometime this week, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports. Houck has been out since the Red Sox placed him on the 15-day injured list on May 15 with a flexor pronator strain. He was shut down from throwing earlier in his recovery. The injury could help explain some of Houck's early season struggles. After posting a 3.12 ERA in 178 2/3 innings a year ago, Houck owns a bloated 8.04 mark over 43 2/3 frames this season. The 28-year-old also saw his strikeout, walk, and ground-ball rates go in the wrong direction before he went on the IL.--Connor ByrneSource: Chris Cotillo - MassLive.com

The Chicago White Sox are calling up pitching prospect Grant Taylor from Double-A Birmingham on Monday, according to The Athletic's James Fegan. The hard-throwing right-hander will get his first big-league call-up after dominating in a relief role at Birmingham with a 1.01 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 37 strikeouts and 11 walks in 26 2/3 innings over 15 appearances (six starts). Taylor is considered the team's No. 6 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and will likely serve in a relief role in the majors, which will limit his fantasy appeal. After being moved to the bullpen at Birmingham, Taylor has thrown 9 1/3 scoreless frames with 18 strikeouts and just one walk. He could push for high-leverage innings sooner than later, but in mixed fantasy leagues, you can leave him on the waiver wire. Taylor primarily relies on a fastball-cutter combination but also has a plus curveball and slider.--Keith HernandezSource: The Athletic - James Fegan

Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani (foot) is in the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the San Diego Padres. Ohtani appears to be fine after getting hit in the foot by a pitch on Sunday. It didn't appear to be a significant issue, but also wouldn't be shocking to see the Dodgers rest their superstar after something like that. Ohtani will serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff against right-hander Nick Pivetta on Monday. Fantasy managers should make sure to have Ohtani in their lineups.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

The Houston Texans officially signed free-agent running back Nick Chubb to a one-year, $2.5 million deal on Monday that could be worth up to $5 million, sources tell NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Chubb passed a physical after a gruesome left-knee injury in 2023 that required multiple surgeries. The former Cleveland Browns Pro Bowler was one of the most powerful backs in the league before his injury, as he went for a career-high 1,525 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 302 carries in 2022. He managed to play in just eight games last year, though, and wasn't the same, averaging a career-low 3.3 yards per carry with 332 rushing yards and three scores on 102 rushing attempts. Chubb also fractured his left foot in Week 15 last year, so he may never be the same explosive back he once was. Now in Houston, he'll be competing with Dameon Pierce for RB2 duties behind starter Joe Mixon.--Keith HernandezSource: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jorge Soler (groin) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the A's. Soler aggravated his groin issue over the weekend and as a result he'll sit out his second straight game on Monday. The Angels are hopeful Soler is able to avoid a trip to the injured list. It is worth noting that Angels acquired LaMonte Wade, so placing Soler on the injured list would free up a spot for Soler on the roster. In the meantime, Chris Taylor will cover right field and bat sixth versus right-hander Grant Holman on Monday.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Michael Conforto is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the San Diego Padres. This appears to be a routine rest day for Conforto, but a bit odd to see it happening against a right-handed starter. The Dodgers have been platooning Conforto in left field this season. In his absence, Andy Pages will cover left field and bat seventh versus right-hander Nick Pivetta. Conforto hasn't done enough with the bat this season to warrant rostering in most fantasy formats.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

The Cleveland Browns announced on Monday that they signed offensive tackle Jackson Barton to an undisclosed deal and waived center Justin Osborne with an injury designation in a corresponding move. Barton suffered an ankle injury last year and ended the 2024 season with the Arizona Cardinals on Injured Reserve, but he's recovered now and will be attempting to win a roster spot in Cleveland this summer. The 29-year-old was a former seventh-round pick (240th overall) by the Indianapolis Colts in 2019 out of Utah. He broke into the NFL in 2021 with the Las Vegas Raiders and spent two years with the team before playing in Arizona the last two seasons. Barton has only started two of the 13 games he's appeared in over his four years in the NFL.--Keith HernandezSource: Cleveland Browns

Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Gabriel Moreno (hand) is absent from the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Seattle Mariners. This marks the third game in a row that Moreno will sit out after being hit in the hand during Friday's game. Luckily, the X-rays came back negative, so Moreno appears to have avoided a major injury. This appears to be a day-to-day issue, so hopefully Moreno is back soon. In the meantime, Jose Herrera will cover behind the plate and bat ninth versus right-hander Emerson Hancock on Monday.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (ankle) suffered what appeared to be an ankle injury in Monday's voluntary organized team activities, but 105.7 The Fan's Courdell Woodland doesn't think the injury is very serious. It's unclear if Awuzie will be available now for mandatory minicamp this month, but the 30-year-old veteran should be good for training camp at the end of July as he heads into his first season in Baltimore. In just eight games (seven starts) for the Tennessee Titans last year, Awuzie had 26 tackles (17 solo), an interception, four pass breakups and a forced fumble. The former second-rounder (60th overall) by the Dallas Cowboys in 2017 out of Colorado will give the Ravens secondary depth in 2025, but he can be ignored in IDP fantasy drafts.--Keith HernandezSource: 105.7 The Fan - Cordell Woodland

Miami Marlins starting pitcher Ryan Weathers (lat) has been placed on the 60-day injured list on Monday. Weathers was pulled from his most recent start on Saturday after reportedly dealing with discomfort. The Marlins had Weathers undergo further testing, which revealed a lat strain. This looks like it's going to be a lengthy absence with Weathers being placed on the 60-day injured list. It's tough for fantasy managers to warrant holding Weathers through this injury. The Marlins haven't said who is going to take the vacant spot in the starting rotation.--Andy WebbSource: Isaac Azout

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said the team is hopeful that wide receiver Chris Godwin (ankle) will be ready for Week 1 of the 2025 regular season this fall after dislocating his ankle last year. Bowles said that Godwin has been working hard ahead of this week's mandatory minicamp. The 29-year-old was on his way to a career year and had five touchdowns in seven games before suffering a season-ending injury in 2024. He took less money to return to Tampa in the offseason on a three-year, $66 million deal in March. With offensive coordinator Liam Coen now out of town and Godwin coming off a serious ankle injury, fantasy managers have plenty of reasons to be skeptical that he'll look as good as he did before his injury last year. Perhaps the biggest threat to Godwin's workload in 2025 is rookie first-round wideout Emeka Egbuka.--Keith HernandezSource: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud

Athletics rookie first baseman Nick Kurtz (hip) was activated from the 10-day injured list on Monday. Kurtz is back in the mix after being sidelined since late May due to a hip flexor strain. The rookie first baseman needed only one rehab appearance before rejoining the A's roster. He'll serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth against Yusei Kikuchi on Monday. Fantasy managers who have Kurtz rostered should make sure to get him in their lineups ahead of first pitch.--Andy WebbSource: Athletics PR

Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Max Scherzer (thumb) is feeling good and is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Tuesday or Wednesday, tentatively followed by a 60-65-pitch minor-league rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, according to Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith. Scherzer will likely need two or more rehab starts on the farm before potentially rejoining the Blue Jays' starting rotation. The future Hall of Famer threw a 50-pitch, three-inning simulated game on Sunday while using all of his pitches, according to manager John Schneider. Inflammation in his troublesome right thumb has limited the 40-year-old veteran to just one start all year in his first season with Toronto. Scherzer should immediately rejoin the rotation when he's ready, but fantasy managers definitely should temper expectations for the aging former ace.--Keith HernandezSource: Sportsnet.ca - Ben Nicholson-Smith

Toronto Blue Jays top pitching prospect Trey Yesavage is being promoted to Double-A New Hampshire and will make his first start later this week, an industry source told Sportsnet's Shi Dividi. Yesavage dominated the Single-A levels and will now get around half a season to show what he's got against better competition. The 21-year-old former 20th overall pick in 2024 out of East Carolina went a combined 4-0 with a 2.13 ERA and 0.85 WHIP with 88 strikeouts and 19 walks in 50 2/3 innings over 11 starts with High-A Vancouver and Single-A Dunedin to earn the promotion. Per MLB Pipeline, Yesavage is the team's No. 2 overall prospect, and he could make his big-league debut at some point next year if he continues to show well in the minors. He's physical at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds and has plenty of swing-and-miss stuff with his fastball, slider and splitter.--Keith HernandezSource: Sportsnet.ca - Shi Davidi

Miami Marlins left-hander Ryan Weathers (shoulder) is back in Miami to be evaluated for shoulder discomfort, according to MLB.com's Christina De Nicola. Weathers had a rough start on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays, as he showed diminished velocity and then was hit in the head by catcher Nick Fortes between innings. His head is fine, but the Marlins are worried about his shoulder after he was seen flexing his arm during his outing over the weekend. The 25-year-old southpaw started the year on the injured list with a forearm injury, which is why he's been limited to only five starts. In his five starts, Weathers has a strong 3.28 ERA (4.40 FIP) and 1.05 WHIP with 23 strikeouts and eight walks in 24 2/3 innings pitched. For now, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day, but his next start is firmly in jeopardy, and he could be in danger of going on the IL for the second time in 2025.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com - Christina De Nicola

The Seattle Mariners announced on Monday that they designated outfielder Leody Taveras for assignment and recalled outfielder Dominic Canzone from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move. Taveras began the season with the Texas Rangers and hit .241 (19-for-79) with a homer, eight RBI and six steals before being cut and scooped off waivers by the Mariners. The 26-year-old only made it 28 games with Seattle, going 16-for-92 (.174) with two homers, nine RBI and three stolen bases. Taveras had double-digit home runs the previous two seasons with Texas and had a career-high 23 stolen bases last year, but he'll now be searching for his third organization of the season unless he clears waivers and accepts an outright assignment to Tacoma. With Luke Raley (oblique) on the injured list, the lefty-hitting Canzone could see action in right field against right-handers in Seattle going forward.--Keith HernandezSource: Mariners PR

Milwaukee Brewers rookie left-hander Connor Thomas (elbow) had a setback after appearing in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on May 25 and will have surgery to remove loose bodies in his elbow, according to MLB.com. Thomas had been recovering from left-elbow arthritis and will now miss even more time. He initially landed on the 15-day injured list on April 8 and was transferred to the 60-day IL on May 18. The 27-year-old southpaw will now miss even more time, meaning he won't be an option for Milwaukee's bullpen until some point in the second half of the season, if at all. Thomas only appeared in two games in his first taste of major-league action earlier this year before getting hurt, and he allowed a whopping 12 earned runs on 12 hits (three homers) while walking two and fanning five in just 5 1/3 innings.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (toe) is likely to miss the start of the 2025-26 regular season after undergoing surgery to repair a toe injury and will be sidelined for approximately four to five months. It was previously reported that the star guard would be good to go for the Cavaliers training camp in October. If Garland is unable to suit up to start the season, free agent Ty Jerome will likely see an expanded role if he re-signs with the Cavs this summer. Through 70 games during the 2024-25 campaign, Jerome averaged 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals in 19.9 minutes per contest.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: Shams Charania

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that outfielder Blake Perkins (shin) is running at "90-95%" and could play in minor-league games in Arizona in mid-June. Perkins' progress from a right-shin fracture stalled in the middle of May, but now it sounds like he's on the right track. Barring a setback from the 28-year-old, he could return to the big-league roster and make his 2025 debut in late June. The switch-hitting outfielder fractured his shin in spring training. When Perkins is able to return, he'll most likely serve as outfield depth for the Brew Crew, limiting his fantasy appeal. In 121 games with Milwaukee in 2024 in his second year in the majors, Perkins hit .240/.316/.332 with a below-average .647 OPS, six home runs, 13 doubles, two triples, 43 RBI, 23 stolen bases and 54 runs scored in 434 plate appearances. Speed is the biggest draw with Perkins in fantasy.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff (elbow) was hit on the right elbow by a 108.2 mph comebacker with Triple-A Nashville on June 3 in what was supposed to be his final minor-league rehab start. However, Woodruff is only dealing with bruising. With the swelling going down, the Brewers are hopeful that the 32-year-old veteran could resume throwing early this week. He could then move to a bullpen session around June 17 and throw live batting practice shortly after. Woodruff hasn't pitched in the big leagues since September of 2023 after having right-shoulder surgery that knocked him out all of last year. He's posted a 2.11 ERA with 34 strikeouts over 38 1/3 innings in his nine rehab starts and is poised to help fantasy managers in all formats once he eventually makes his 2025 debut, which could come in late June.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com - Joey Pollizze

The Cincinnati Enquirer's Gordon Wittenmyer reports that Cincinnati Reds outfielder Austin Hays (foot) is eyeing a possible return from the 10-day injured list by the end of the series this week against the Cleveland Guardians that runs from Monday through Wednesday. Hays is on the IL with a left-foot contusion but ditched his walking boot last week and apparently will rejoin the big-league roster without going on a minor-league rehab assignment. The 29-year-old is very injury-prone and has already been on the IL multiple times in 2025, but when healthy, he's seen regular playing time in left field for Cincy and has swung the bat well. In 119 at-bats this year, the former third-rounder by the Baltimore Orioles in 2016 has hit .303 with six home runs, 25 RBI, 23 runs scored and two steals. If he's available on your league's waiver wire, scoop him up now.--Keith HernandezSource: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Gordon Wittenmyer

Cincinnati Reds right-hander Hunter Greene (groin) is headed to Los Angeles on Monday for a second medical opinion on his back and his injured groin, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer's Gordon Wittenmyer. Greene landed on the 15-day injured list last Wednesday with a right-groin strain and is now also apparently dealing with a back ailment. Second opinions usually aren't a good sign, but the good news is that Greene isn't dealing with an injury to his right arm. The hard-throwing 25-year-old is eligible to come off the IL on June 19, but it remains to be seen if that will happen, and it will likely depend on what doctors say on Monday. Until he's able to return, veteran left-hander Wade Miley is expected to work in Cincy's starting rotation. Greene needs to be stashed in an IL spot in all fantasy formats while he recovers.--Keith HernandezSource: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Gordon Wittenmyer

Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Ryan Waldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored, and he got on base once via a hit by pitch. It was the second consecutive game with a home run for Arizona's third-ranked prospect and eighth home run of the season, now riding a six-game hit streak. The 22-year-old is slashing .272/.430/.461 in 56 games at High-A Hillsboro and is walking (46) more than he is striking out (43). The 31st pick in the 2024 MLB Draft has also stolen seven bases for the Hops, and with his all-around skillset, the 6-foot-2 should earn some at-bats at Double-A by season's end.--Jarod RuppSource: MiLB.com
