Royce Lewis Hits 10-Day Injured List
Royce Lewis (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday with a left hamstring strain. Lewis exited Friday's game with this hamstring strain and was held out of action on Saturday. This is Lewis' second hamstring strain of the campaign. The former first overall pick has dealt with numerous injuries throughout his young career. Through 30 games this season, Lewis has struggled at the plate, posting a .202/.282/.303 line with four doubles and two home runs. However, last season, Lewis was quite productive from a power perspective, posting a .747 OPS with 16 home runs in 82 games. In a corresponding move, the Twins promoted outfielder DaShawn Keirsey Jr. from Triple-A St. Paul. While Lewis remains out, fantasy managers should expect Brooks Lee and Willi Castro to cover the hot corner.
