Jackson Merrill Removed Early on Saturday
Jackson Merrill (head) was removed early from Saturday's contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks with a possible concussion. Merrill suffered an apparent head injury while attempting to steal second base in the seventh inning. He was on the ground for a while before exiting with the trainers. He went 1-for-3 with a single and a walk before leaving. Padres manager Mike Shildt said afterwards that Merrill was woozy, which is never a good sign. Merrill will undergo further testing on Sunday, so fantasy managers should get more information soon. Fantasy managers should consider Merrill as day-to-day for the moment.
