Josh Jacobs Limited With Multiple Injuries
Josh Jacobs (calf, quadriceps) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday due to two injuries. Jacobs played through his quad issue in the Week 11 win over the division-rival Chicago Bears, but the calf issue is a new one. The 26-year-old had another workhorse role last Sunday, seeing 22 touches for 134 scrimmage yards and a rushing score against a tough Bears defense. We'll keep a close eye on his practice status through the rest of the week, but as of right now, Jacobs should be expected to suit up this Sunday for a big NFC matchup against the visiting San Francisco 49ers. If active, Jacobs should remain a low-end RB1 choice for fantasy managers with little competition for touches in Green Bay's backfield. The former Raiders RB enters Week 12 averaging 14.4 half-PPR points, which has him tied for 15th among RBs with Jonathan Taylor.Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd To Go On Non-Football Injury List
MarShawn Lloyd (ankle, appendix, hamstring) will go on the Non-Football Injury list, which will knock him out for at least another four games. Lloyd was just activated from Injured Reserve on Monday but will now be forced to miss additional time after having an emergency appendectomy last Friday. The frustrating rookie season continues for the 23-year-old, as he's played in just one game in 2024. He'll be eligible to return in Week 16, which is the semifinals in most fantasy football leagues. Given his injury woes dating back to training camp this summer, Lloyd should only be stashed in dynasty/keeper leagues at this point. His new injury means that Chris Brooks and Emanuel Wilson will continue vying for scraps in the backfield behind starter Josh Jacobs.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that rookie running back Jaire Alexander's Knee Injury Not Considered Serious
Source: Ian Rapoport
According to the NFL's Ian Rapoport, the knee injury that forced Green Bay Packers defensive back Jaire Alexander (knee) from Sunday's 20-19 win over the Chicago Bears is not considered to be serious. The 27-year-old was knocked out of the team's victory in the second half and did not return. Per Rapoport, it's a "continuation of what he's been working through," and sources said he'll be ok. Alexander was a limited participant in practice all week leading up to Sunday's outing, and he'll likely be as such ahead of Green Bay's Week 12 home tilt against the San Francisco 49ers. Fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on his status, but it appears he shouldn't miss any time as of now.Packers D/ST Tallies Three Sacks, Blocked Kick In Victory
Caleb Williams three times on the afternoon and allowed 19 points on offense, but Green Bay did not force an interception or fumble on the afternoon. Green Bay did their best work in the game's final play, as Packers' defender Karl Brooks blocked the game-winning field goal attempt from Cairo Santos. With the San Francisco 49ers coming to town in Week 12, the Packers D/ST is an incredibly risky starting unit in fantasy, given the strength of the 49ers' offense.Source: ESPN
The Green Bay Packers' defense and special teams' unit was solid in their 20-19 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 11. The Packers sacked Bears quarterback Tucker Kraft Vanishes In Packers' Week 11 Win
Tucker Kraft was a non-factor in the Packers' 20-19 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 11. Kraft only earned just one target, a short target that was intercepted by Chicago's Terell Smith in the second quarter. The lack of involvement was felt in the Packers' passing attack which only had 17 pass attempts through the entire game. With the number of quality pass-catching options available for quarterback Jordan Love, there will be games like this by Kraft. With the Packers heading back home to host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12, Kraft should be considered a low-end TE1 for fantasy football.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers tight end Romeo Doubs Disappoints With Just One Reception In Win
Romeo Doubs was very quiet in the Packers' 20-19 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 11. Doubs only earned two targets and reeled in just one of them for 17 yards receiving. Taking a backseat in the production department to fellow wide receiver Christian Watson and running back Josh Jacobs, Doubs typically runs the most routes on the team, but with so many pass-catching options in the offense plus quarterback Jordan Love only notching 17 pass attempts, some players get a bit lost in the shuffle at times. In the Packers' next game in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers, Doubs is more of a low-end flex play for fantasy because of his inconsistency.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson Posts Career-High 150 Yards In Week 11
Christian Watson had a career day as the Packers edged the Chicago Bears 20-19 at Soldier Field in Week 11. Watson had the biggest yardage day of his young career as he caught all four of his targets for 150 receiving yards. Watson's Week 11 was capped off by a huge 60-yard reception that led to the go-ahead touchdown plunge from quarterback Jordan Love. Even with Watson's huge day, he's still a bit hard to trust knowing that he could just go back to meager production with so many pass-catching options in Green Bay. In the Packers' next matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12, Watson is a boom-or-bust flex option for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Josh Jacobs Scores, Posts 134 Total Yards in Week 11 Win
Josh Jacobs put up a excellent day en route to the Packers squeaking by the Chicago Bears 20-19 in Week 11. On the ground, Jacobs paced the Packers with 76 yards plus a seven-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Jacobs not only paced the Packers in the rushing department, but also led the team in targets (5) and was second on the team with 58 receiving yards on the afternoon. With Jacobs' prowess on the ground and through the air, he should be looked at as a low-end fantasy RB1 for the Packers' next test against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers running back Jayden Reed Scores Touchdown In Quiet Day
Jayden Reed was able to salvage a quiet day on the stat sheet with a touchdown in the Packers' 20-19 victory in Chicago against the Bears. Reed only earned two targets on the afternoon from quarterback Jordan Love, but he caught both of them for 23 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown that kicked off the scoring for the Packers. In addition to the receiving work, Reed also had a rushing attempt but lost five yards. With the Packers set for an NFC showdown with the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12, Reed is more of a mid-range WR2 for fantasy football, as he has to compete with several other players for targets and attention from Love.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordan Love With Passing, Rushing TD in Week 11 Win
Jordan Love put up a solid line for the Packers as the team escaped with a 20-19 victory against the Chicago Bears. Love was 13-of-17 passing for 261 yards and tossed his only touchdown pass on the afternoon to wide receiver Jayden Reed. Love's 15-yard touchdown to Reed capped off the opening drive of the game. The Packers took the lead for good thanks to Love's rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to put them up 20-19, as Love also added 18 rushing yards on the ground to his ledger. With an NFC showdown looming at Lambeau Field against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12, Love should be considered a low-end QB1 option for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jaire Alexander Questionable To Return Sunday
Source: Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) left Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears with a knee injury, and the team has listed him as questionable to return. With the injury coming in the second half, the team could play it safe and keep him on the sidelines. Corey Ballentine is the next man up on the depth chart and will try to secure a division win.Jaire Alexander Active For Packers Defense
DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and rookie Rome Odunze. The two-time Pro Bowler isn't on the IDP fantasy radar for starting lineups and has only 16 tackles (15 solo), two interceptions, seven pass breakups and a fumble recovery in his six games this year.Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) is officially active on Sunday for the divisional contest at Soldier Field against the Chicago Bears in Week 11. Alexander came into Sunday's game with a questionable tag but will end up being active after being limited in practice all week. It's good news for Green Bay's secondary as they go up against a struggling Bears passing offense that just fired their offensive coordinator. The 27-year-old Alexander will be returning after missing the Week 10 contest. The oft-injured defensive back -- he's missed three games in 2024 after missing 10 last year -- will look to slow down Chicago's trio of receivers in Dontayvion Wicks A Volatile Flex Play In Deeper Leagues
Dontayvion Wicks comes off his bye week to face a tough Chicago Bears defense on the road on Sunday in Week 11. The Bears secondary has allowed the third-fewest half-PPR points to opposing receivers in 2024, so the Packers passing attack could struggle to move the ball consistently this weekend. Wicks, meanwhile, will hope to contribute something after going catchless on three targets in the Week 9 loss to the division-rival Detroit Lions. He does have four touchdowns on the season, but he has only eclipsed 50 receiving yards in a game once in nine games and not since Sept. 29 against the Minnesota Vikings. The 23-year-old has 16 receptions for 192 total yards and is outside the top-50 wideout in average fantasy points per game. Wicks profiles as a low-upside, touchdown-dependent flex option in deeper fantasy leagues against Chicago.Source: Pro Football Reference
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson A Touchdown-Dependent WR4/Flex
Christian Watson comes off his bye week to face the division-rival Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday in Week 11. Before the bye, Watson led the team with seven targets and hauled in three of them for 37 yards in the Week 9 loss to the division-rival Detroit Lions. The 25-year-old saw 13 targets in the two games before the bye, which equaled the number of targets he saw in the first six games of the year. Jayden Reed is easily the most trustworthy fantasy wideout in a crowded Packers receiving corps because of his frequent involvement as a rusher as well. It was good to see Watson get more involved in the last two games, but he's likely to remain a volatile boom/bust, touchdown-dependent WR4/flex against a Bears defense that has allowed the third-fewest half-PPR points to receivers this year.Source: Pro Football Reference
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Brandon McManus A Solid Start Against Chicago In Week 11
Brandon McManus has been a calming presence for the Packers and their well-publicized kicker woes and looks to keep that up this week as the Packers head to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears. McManus has missed just one kick this season, a 46-yard field-goal attempt that may have had some wet weather affecting it. That said, McManus has been everything the Packers have wanted out of the kicker position in his three games with two game-winning field goals. With a tough defense ahead in Chicago, McManus could have some opportunities to kick if the Packers' offense stalls, so consider McManus a low-end starting kicker in fantasy for Week 11.Source: RotoBaller
