Brian Harman May Not Be a Good Option at Muirfield
Source: PGA Tour
Brian Harman has had a very hit-or-miss 2025 season. He has a win at the Valero Texas Open and finished T3 at the RBC Heritage. However, he's finished 40th or worse in eight other events. Muirfield has the feel of a major championship challenge and is one of the toughest on the PGA Tour, with solid play from tee to green. Harman ranks 61st in strokes gained tee-to-green (+0.263), 113th off the tee (-0.025), 74th on approach (+0.162), and 68th around the green (+0.099). His history at Muirfield is also working against him. In his 10 starts, he has missed the cut six times and has only finished in the top 20 once. His inconsistent play, along with his subpar history at Jack's place, makes him an undesirable play even at his $7,100 price tag on DraftKings this week.Matt Fitzpatrick Has Great History at Memorial
Source: PGA Tour
After a promising finish at his last start at the PGA Championship, Matt Fitzpatrick is looking to continue his momentum. Before that start, he didn't have a single top 10 or top 20 finish in any event this year. Fitzpatrick has gained some notable speed off the tee and was already accurate driving the ball, which has added a new element to his game. On top of that, he has a stellar history at Jack's place. In his six starts, he has three top 10s and two top fives. His two top fives have come in the last two years with a T9 and T5. His approach game has been a question mark, ranking 97th (-0.027) on tour. Approach game and driving accuracy will be the key to competing this week, something that Fitzpatrick has had trouble with this season. It's hard to gauge him for this week but his $8,000 price tag on DraftKings may be a bit too steep . Denny McCarthy A Solid Choice At Muirfield Village
Source: PGA Tour
Denny McCarthy has been one of the most consistent players on tour in 2025. He hasn't missed a single cut in 13 starts, has seven top 20s, and two top 10s, including a T8 at the PGA Championship. At Quail Hollow, McCarthy didn't shoot a single round over par and ranked in the top 10 in strokes gained around the green (+3.807) and strokes gained putting (+5.627). His history at Muirfield is solid with two top fives in five starts, including a lost playoff in 2023 to Viktor Hovland. His iron play and putting have been steady all season, ranking sixth in strokes gained putting (+0.689) and 71st in strokes gained on approach (+0.178). His price tag of $7,900 is not bad and offers high upside for one of the games most consistent players. Tony Finau Shaping Into Form Heading Into Memorial
Source: PGA Tour
Tony Finau has been heating up over his last three starts. He finished T38 at the RBC and followed that up with two top 20s at the Truist Championship and the PGA Championship. Finishing T19 at the PGA Championship was a very positive sign while shooting only one round over par. On top of that, Finau's history at Jack's place is solid with five top 20s, including three eighth-place finishes. His play from tee-to-green has been solid, ranking 53rd in strokes gained in that category (+0.404), and he has competed at various venues all season. His price tag of $8,200 on DraftKings may be steep, but it may be worth taking a flyer on him this week. Cameron Young Hard to Trust at the Memorial
Source: PGA Tour
Cameron Young has experienced a mixed 2025 season, making the cut in eight of 14 starts and finishing in the top 25 four times. He'll look to find consistency at the Memorial, where he's played three times with a best finish of T50 in 2024. Muirfield Village is one of the toughest non-major tests on tour, demanding a complete game across its 7,500-plus yards. Young currently ranks 151st in strokes gained from tee to green (minus-0.498 per round), 81st off the tee (minus-0.112), 166th on approach (minus-0.606), and 101st around the green (minus-0.005). He's also in just the 16th percentile in proximity from 200-plus yards over the last 12 months, a critical range that accounted for 32% of approach shots here last year. While there have been signs of improvement, Young remains tough to trust this week, even at his discounted $6,700 DraftKings salary.Alex Noren a Sneaky Value Play at the Memorial
Source: PGA Tour
Alex Noren returned from a seven-month hamstring injury just two weeks ago at the Truist Championship, and a week later found himself in contention at the PGA Championship. While the Swede couldn't close the deal at Quail Hollow, posting just one round over par across his first two events back is an encouraging sign. He now turns to the Memorial, where he's made four cuts in six appearances, including a T13 in 2021. Muirfield Village demands a complete game, and in 2024, Noren ranked 19th in strokes gained from tee to green, 43rd on approach, and eighth around the green. He also ranks in the 79th percentile in proximity from 200-plus yards over the past 12 months, a key range that accounted for 32% of approach shots here last year. While his course history is modest, Noren's form and $7,400 price tag on DraftKings make him an intriguing value play with clear upside.Patrick Cantlay Has Potential Heading Into Muirfield
Source: PGA Tour
The 2025 season has been fantastic for Patrick Cantlay. He has six finishes inside the top 20, with three of those being in the top 5. He has been about as consistent and close to a win as anyone on tour. His record at Jack's place is more than impeccable, with wins in 2019 and 2021 along with two other top-five finishes. All the elements will be tested at Muirfield, and Cantlay's game has been solid all around. He ranks 11th (+1.016) in strokes gained from tee-to-green, 10th in strokes gained on approach (+0.624), and 29th in strokes gained off the tee (+0.338). He has a steep price of $9,500 on DraftKings, but it may be worth paying due to his incredible history at the Memorial. Sepp Straka Eyeing Another Elite Signature-Event Performance
Source: PGA Tour
Sepp Straka is putting together one of the best seasons on tour, with the majority of his success coming in signature events. Through the first six, he's recorded four top-15 finishes, including a win at the Truist Championship three weeks ago. He'll look to continue that elite form at the Memorial, where he's made five starts and finished T5 last year. Success at Muirfield Village demands a complete game, and Straka ranks ninth in strokes gained from tee to green (plus-1.142 per round), 52nd off the tee (plus-0.230), and second on approach (plus-1.027). He's also been playing with precision, ranking 11th in driving accuracy and sitting in the 98th percentile in proximity from 150–200 yards over the past 12 months—a key range that accounted for 34.9% of approach shots here last year. Until he shows signs of cooling off, Straka remains an elite DFS and betting option.Wyndham Clark Not A Reliable Option Ahead Of Memorial
Source: PGA Tour
Wyndham Clark has been up and down, at best, of late. He has the potential to win any golf tournament, but his play has been subpar in 2025. While he's not missing many cuts, he has only one top-10 finish, and his frustrations are starting to show on the course. This week at Muirfield Village, the recipe for success has as much to do with accuracy off the tee as iron play, and Clark has struggled with both all season long. He ranks outside the top 100 in both driving accuracy and strokes gained on approach. The former U.S. Open champion is still looking to find his footing and should be avoided in all formats this week.Aaron Rai Looking to Bounce Back at the Memorial
Source: PGA Tour
Aaron Rai came up short at the Charles Schwab Challenge last week, shooting 70–71 and missing the cut by a single stroke. Before that, he had posted five straight finishes of T38 or better and will look to bounce back at the Memorial. Rai has played Muirfield Village twice, missing the cut in 2023 and finishing T26 in 2022. He ranks 19th in strokes gained from tee to green (plus-0.867 per round), 26th off the tee (plus-0.355), 19th on approach (plus-0.523), and leads the tour in driving accuracy (73.36%), making him a strong fit for a demanding layout. His short game remains a concern, however, as he's losing strokes both around the green (minus-0.011) and with his putter (minus-0.094). Rai has the ball-striking and accuracy to rebound this week, but if his short game doesn't improve, it will cap his ceiling.Max Homa Still in Fantasy Golf Purgatory at Memorial Tournament
Source: PGA Tour
After a disappointing weekend at the PGA Championship, Max Homa returns to competition this week at Muirfield Village, where he's finished T6-T5-T22 the last three years. He showed a drastic sign of life Friday at Quail Hollow, shooting a -7 under par, 64. What followed was the same detrimental play that's plagued him for much of the last 12 months. The 34-year-old ranks outside the top 100 in all strokes gained metrics, but since he's managed to make the cut in both major championships, things are improving. However, they haven't gotten back to a level worth trusting him in DFS yet.Viktor Hovland Rounding into Form Ahead of the Memorial
Source: PGA Tour
After starting the season with three missed cuts in his first five events, Viktor Hovland has begun to turn things around, highlighted by a win at the Valspar Championship and three top-30 finishes in his last four starts. He'll look to continue that momentum at the Memorial, where he's made five appearances, including a win in 2023 and a T15 last year. Muirfield Village demands a complete game, and Hovland ranks 49th in strokes gained from tee to green (plus-0.481), 70th off the tee (plus-0.166), and eighth on approach (plus-0.719). His short game remains a concern, losing strokes both around the green (minus-0.404) and with his putter (minus-0.149). However, he ranks in the 97th percentile in proximity from 150–200 yards and 99th percentile from 200-plus yards, two ranges that accounted for 66.9% of approach shots here last year. With elite iron play and a strong track record at this course, Hovland brings high upside for DFS managers.Stephan Jaeger is a Scary Play at Muirfield Village
Source: PGA Tour
With someone as deadly with the irons as Stephan Jaeger, Jack's place seems like a great place for the 35-year-old to build on his decent season. While driving the ball far isn't a concern at Muirfield, the accuracy needed off the tee is perhaps just as much of the recipe as approach play. The 35-year-old ranks outside the top 150 in driving accuracy (53.48%), 145th in strokes gained off the tee (-0.247), and 95th in bogey avoidance (15.67%). There's no coincidence that all his good finishes this season have come at events where low scores were needed all four rounds. That likely won't be the case this week in Dublin, Ohio. At $7,900 on FanDuel, Jaeger needs a lot of things to change to become an asset this week.Sungjae Im a Volatile Option at the Memorial
Source: PGA Tour
Sungjae Im has delivered steady results this season, recording six top-25 finishes and making the cut in 11 of 15 starts. He now heads to the Memorial, where he has played six times, making the cut in four and earning two top-10 finishes in his last three appearances at Muirfield Village. This course tests all areas of a player's game, and Im ranks 89th in strokes gained from tee to green (plus-0.024 per round), 18th off the tee (plus-0.423), and 14th around the green (plus-0.371). However, his approach play remains a major concern, as he ranks 172nd in strokes gained on approach, losing 0.771 strokes per round, and sits in just the 42nd percentile in proximity from 150–200 yards over the past 12 months, a key range that accounted for 34.9% of approach shots here last year. At $8,100 on DraftKings, Im offers boom-or-bust potential for DFS managers.Jordan Spieth Looks to Turn the Corner at Muirfield Village
Source: PGA Tour
Jordan Spieth's return to golf has been as successful as most tour pros could hope for, but he has found some difficulty of late with T34, a missed cut and T36 finishes over his last three starts. Being a recipient of a coveted sponsor's exemption into this week's Memorial Tournament hasn't sat well with PGA Tour purists, but his inclusion into one of the more popular events on the PGA Tour schedule is the right move monetarily. His history at Jack's place through the years has been solid, but his now turbulent nature on approach and unpredictable accuracy off the tee (59.43%) make him hard to predict at such a demanding property. His price of $10,800 on FanDuel is a steep one given the wide range of likely outcomes from a DFS headache that Speith has become.
