Kaelen Culpepper Collects Two Hits, Steals a Base on Tuesday
Source: MiLB.com
Minnesota Twins infield prospect Kaelen Culpepper went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, one run scored, and a stolen base on Tuesday for Double-A Wichita. The 22-year-old is hitting .297 with a pair of home runs in nine games since his promotion from High-A, and for the season is slashing .294/.386/.476 with 11 home runs and 17 steals in 63 games. The performance has earned him a selection to the All-Star Futures Game, and also vaulted him into the Top 100 on MLB.com's top prospects list that was refreshed at the beginning of July. If he continues his trendline, a late-season MLB debut in 2026 would see him join others from the 2024 draft class who've already made it to the big leagues, otherwise, look for K-State product to have a fantasy impact in 2027.Daysbel Hernandez Reinstated From Injured List
Daysbel Hernandez (forearm) from the 15-day injured list and optioned right-hander Kevin Herget to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Hernandez tossed a scoreless inning in his lone minor-league rehab appearance and will now return to Atlanta's bullpen after missing a month with inflammation in his right forearm. The 28-year-old Cuban should return to a high-leverage relief role with the Braves in front of closer Raisel Iglesias, giving him plenty of appeal in fantasy leagues that score holds. Before his injury, Hernandez was a key reliever for the Braves with a 3-1 record and 2.22 ERA with 21 strikeouts, but he's also sporting a 4.07 FIP and 20 walks, so he's due for some serious regression if he cannot improve his command.Source: Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves announced on Wednesday that they reinstated right-handed reliever Walker Jenkins Steals Two Bases, Extends Hit Streak to Seven Games
Walker Jenkins extended his current hit streak to seven games with a 1-for-4 day at the plate on Tuesday for Double-A Wichita, swiping two bags in the contest as well. Since returning from the injured list in early June, the Twins' top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 15) has put all of his offensive tools on display, hitting .292 (19-for-65) with three doubles, two home runs, nine steals, and a 15:18 BB:K in 19 games (11 at Double-A). It equates to an .811 OPS, .394 wOBA, and 138 wRC+ for the 20-year-old. The 2023 fifth-overall draft pick should see some time at Triple-A later this year, but unless he really goes on a tear, an MLB debut could have to wait until next season after he got such a late start to the campaign. The 6-foot-3 slugger needs to be stashed away in dynasty leagues with the multi-category fantasy potential he owns.Source: MiLB.com

Theo Gillen Collects Three Hits, Steals Two Bases on Tuesday
Source: MiLB.com
Tampa Bay Rays outfield prospect Theo Gillen went 3-for-4 on Tuesday for Single-A Charleston, adding a pair of stolen bases in the contest. It was the third straight multi-hit effort for the 2024 first-rounder, going 7-for-12 (.583) over that stretch and pushing his batting average to .285 with a .430 slugging percentage and 28 steals in 47 games. The 19-year-old is walking at an elite 22.1 percent rate to boot, which buoys his Carolina League-leading .460 OBP and second-best OPS of .890. The Rays' second-ranked prospect jumped 10 spots to No. 67 overall on MLB.com's latest prospect list refresh, and should earn some at-bats at High-A later this year.Yimi Garcia Reinstated From Injured List
Yimi Garcia (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned left-hander Mason Fluharty to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. While Jeff Hoffman will remain Toronto's primary closer, Garcia should be the team's primary high-leverage, late-inning setup man now that he's back with the big-league club. Before injuring his right shoulder, the 34-year-old veteran Dominican had a 3.15 ERA (2.99 FIP), a 1.05 WHIP, three saves and a 24:10 K:BB in 20 innings out of the bullpen. In addition to his three saves, he's picked up six holds and will be very valuable in fantasy formats that award points for holds. If anything were to happen to Hoffman, Garcia would likely step into primary closing duties for the Jays.Source: Toronto Blue Jays

Brenton Doyle Retreats to the Bench on Wednesday
Brenton Doyle will take the day off on Wednesday for the game against the visiting Houston Astros at Coors Field. Mickey Moniak will make the start in center field and will bat sixth against Astros right-hander Hunter Brown. After hitting 23 home runs, driving in 72 runs and stealing 30 bases in a breakout 2024 campaign, Doyle has fallen on hard times in 2025 and is currently slashing just .194/.246/.312 with a .558 OPS, six home runs, 28 RBI and eight steals in 72 games. The 27-year-old has hit .190 (8-for-42) with only one home run, three RBI, a steal, no walks and 11 strikeouts in 10 games over the last 14 days. Fantasy managers can only hope for better days ahead for the power/speed threat in the second half of 2025. Moniak has one hit in three career at-bats against Brown.Source: MLB.com
Colorado Rockies outfielder Josue Briceno Gets on Base Five Times on Tuesday
Source: MLB.com
Detroit Tigers first base/catching prospect Josue Briceno went 3-for-4 at the plate on Tuesday for High-A West Michigan, including a double, two walks, an RBI, and a run scored. It marked the fourth straight multi-hit game for the 20-year-old, which came on the heels of a selection to the All-Star Futures Game and a rise of 15 spots on MLB.com's latest prospect list refresh, from No. 73 overall to No. 58. The recent hot stretch has pushed his season-long batting average up to .291 with a .599 slugging percentage. His 17.3 percent walk rate, which is higher than his 16.4 percent strikeout rate, has helped the Tigers' fourth-ranked prospect to a phenomenal .416 on-base percentage. The 6-foot-4 slugger should be on the way to Double-A in the coming weeks and should be closely monitored in dynasty formats.Royce Lewis Out on Wednesday
Royce Lewis is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's contest against the hosting Miami Marlins. Brooks Lee will play third base and bat cleanup for the Twins against Marlins right-hander Janson Junk. Lewis returned from an injured hamstring that landed him on the injured list on Tuesday and went 1-for-3 with a double in his first game back, but the Twins will give him a day of rest the following day. The 26-year-old former first overall pick in 2017 has continued to tease fantasy managers with his high-end power, but his inability to stay on the field for long periods of time has made him a frustrating asset to roster. He's gone 21-for-102 (.206) so far in 2025 with only two home runs, nine RBI and 10 runs scored, but Lewis has the ability to be a difference-maker in the power department if he gets on a hot streak.Source: MLB.com
Minnesota Twins third baseman Hunter Greene Throws One Inning in Live Batting Practice Session
Hunter Greene (back, groin) threw one inning and faced five batters during his live batting practice session on Wednesday, according to FOX 19's Charlie Goldsmith. Greene felt good after the session and is expected to repeat the process in Philadelphia this weekend. After that, the hard-throwing 25-year-old could be cleared to begin a minor-league rehab assignment. Greene is making progress from a sore back and a right-groin strain, but fantasy managers aren't going to get him back until the second half of the season with the All-Star break quickly approaching. It doesn't make sense for the Reds to rush him back right before the All-Star break since he's been on the shelf since June 4. Greene shouldn't be floating around on any waiver wires after starting the year with a 2.72 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 73 strikeouts in 59 2/3 innings in his first 11 starts.Source: FOX 19 - Charlie Goldsmith
Cincinnati Reds right-hander Drey Jameson Undergoes MRI on his Elbow
Drey Jameson (elbow) underwent an MRI exam on his elbow on Tuesday, according to general manager Mike Hazen. Jameson felt tightness in his right elbow after making a minor-league rehab appearance in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League last week. The results of his MRI aren't known yet, but it's another setback for the 27-year-old after he landed on Triple-A Reno's seven-day injured list on May 20 with right-elbow inflammation. He previously had surgery on his elbow in September of 2023 and missed all of last year, so it's an ominous sign. Jameson made three appearances with the D-backs early this year before being sent back to Reno in late April. We'll have a better idea of Jameson's timetable for a return once his MRI results are released, but he's unlikely to get back on a mound before the All-Star break in mid-July.Source: The Arizona Republic - Nick Piecoro
Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Luis Pena is the Biggest Riser in Latest Prospect Refresh
Luis Pena was the biggest mover in MLB.com's latest refresh of their top prospects list, making a huge jump from No. 95 overall to No. 39, a 56-spot climb. The 5-foot-11 Venezuelan showed well last season in the Dominican Summer League, slashing .393/.457/.583 and adding 39 steals in just 44 games as a 17-year-old. The now-18-year-old is slashing .316/.385/.500 with six home runs and 35 steals through 53 games at Single-A Carolina, showing advanced contact skills with just a 12.8 percent strikeout rate to go along with a slightly above average walk rate of 9.4 percent. He's made a strong case for a promotion to High-A in the latter half of the year, and certainly one to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues, but given his age, he's still likely a couple of years away from the majors.Source: MLB.com
Milwaukee Brewers infield prospect Emerson Hancock Sent to Triple-A
Emerson Hancock to Triple-A Tacoma after his start on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals and selected the contract of left-hander Joe Jacques from Tacoma in a corresponding move. Hancock had another rough outing on Tuesday at home against the Royals, allowing five earned runs on seven hits while walking three and striking out only one in six innings for his fifth loss of the season. The 26-year-old has gone 3-5 for the M's this year with a 5.47 ERA (5.59 FIP) and 1.43 WHIP with 53 strikeouts and 30 walks in 77 1/3 innings over 15 starts in his third year in the big leagues. He will not end up making his next scheduled start this weekend against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but it's unclear who might take his spot in Seattle's starting rotation. Hancock will almost certainly see more starts for the M's in the second half.Source: Mariners PR
