Van Jefferson Listed as Starter on Unofficial Depth Chart
Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson in their starting three-receiver set on Monday on their first official depth chart of training camp, according to Titans beat writer Jim Wyatt. Tennessee signed Jefferson to a one-year deal in the offseason to give them veteran depth at the position. While the 29-year-old is listed as a starter right now, that won't be a guarantee come Week 1 of the regular season. He is playing for his fourth NFL team since the start of the 2023 campaign and had just 24 receptions on 40 targets for 276 yards and two touchdowns in 17 regular-season games (12 starts) with a Pittsburgh offense that had plenty of opportunity in the passing game. Fantasy managers will be avoiding Jefferson in 12-team leagues as a depth option in an offense led by a rookie QB in 2025.Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt

Travis Hunter Listed as Starting Receiver, Backup Defensive Back
Travis Hunter was listed as a starting wide receiver and as a backup defensive back. Unofficial depth charts should be taken with a grain of salt, but all signs this offseason have pointed to Hunter having a bigger role on offense than defense after the Jags traded up to second overall to take the Heisman Trophy winner out of Colorado. The Jaguars have every intention of having the 22-year-old play on both sides of the ball, and the uncertainty around how many snaps he'll have as an offensive playmaker plays into the volatility around him as a fantasy asset in his first NFL season. Even if he plays more on offense in 2025, Hunter could be limited to certain packages, making him a boom/bust WR3/flex option for fantasy managers.Source: Jamal St. Cyr
On the Jacksonville Jaguars' unofficial depth chart released on Monday, rookie first-rounder and two-way player Travis Etienne Jr., Tank Bigsby Listed as Co-Starters
Travis Etienne Jr. and Tank Bigsby are listed as co-starters on the team's first unofficial depth chart this week. Etienne and Bigsby have shared first-team reps during training camp so far this summer, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise. Bigsby is expected to handle most of the physical work between the tackles in 2025, while Etienne is being seen as a dangerous component as part of new head coach Liam Coen's screen game. Meanwhile, rookie Bhayshul Tuten is a speed threat with lots of home run ability. Even rookie LeQuint Allen Jr. could have a role in Jacksonville's backfield this year as a pass-catching option. After Bigsby looked like the more explosive back in 2024, Etienne's fantasy value has dropped to RB3/flex levels, with him being more attractive now in PPR formats.Source: Jamal St. Cyr
Jacksonville Jaguars running backs J.J. McCarthy to Play in Preseason Opener
J.J. McCarthy in the team's preseason opener this Saturday against the Houston Texans. McCarthy isn't your ordinary NFL starting QB going into a new season. The 22-year-old former first-rounder from Michigan missed all of his rookie season in 2024 due a torn meniscus in his knee that required surgery. He is heading into 2025 without a single game started in the NFL, so the more experience he can get in game situations, the better. Still, he probably won't play all that much this weekend and could be held out of the second preseason game next week. McCarthy has perhaps the best 1-2 receiver duo in the league in Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but we have yet to see him in a starting role. There are going to be growing pains, making him more of a QB2 with upside in fantasy.Source: The Athletic - Alec Lewis
Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said that the plan is to play quarterback Chris Sale Progressing Towards Return This Year
Chris Sale (ribs) has been making progress towards a return to the mound, according to David O'Brien. He recently threw a bullpen session and is expected to face live hitters soon. After that, Sale could go on a minor league rehab assignment for a few starts. Sale is still two weeks away from being eligible to return from the 60-day injured list. The southpaw has been sidelined since mid-June due to a fractured left ribcage. It's unlikely that Sale will be able to return when first eligible because he'll need a rehab assignment. The hope is that Sale is able to return at some point in September, but fantasy managers probably won't get much out of him.Source: David O'Brien
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher T.J. Hockenson Remains Sidelined on Monday
T.J. Hockenson (groin) remained sidelined at training camp practice on Monday. O'Connell said Hockenson is dealing with some "day-to-day bumps." Hockenson reportedly suffered a minor groin injury during practice on Saturday and hasn't been on the field since. The 28-year-old was walking with a noticeable limp over the weekend, and it remains to be seen when he'll rejoin the rest of the team at camp. Until we hear more, it sounds like an injury that shouldn't keep Hock from being ready for Week 1 in early September. He got a late start in 2024 while recovering from ACL surgery and finished with 41 catches, 455 yards and no touchdowns in 10 regular-season games (nine starts) in his second year in Detroit. If Hockenson is healthy in 2025, he'll be a midrange TE1 while working with quarterback J.J. McCarthy.Source: The Athletic - Alec Lewis
Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said that tight end Reese Olson Avoids Having Surgery
Reese Olson (shoulder) will avoid having surgery on his injured right shoulder, according to Cody Stavenhagen. The Tigers are still waiting for the final results on his most recent medical evaluation. They will wait until then before deciding on the next steps for Olson. The right-hander is expected to miss the rest of the regular season, but is hopeful to pitch in the postseason. Fantasy managers who were holding Olson can safely drop him.Source: Cody Stavenhagen
Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Grayson Rodriguez to Undergo Season-Ending Surgery
Grayson Rodriguez (elbow) officially won't take the mound during the 2025 season. The O's attempted to avoid surgery, but sadly that is the best route at this point. The right-hander is scheduled to undergo right elbow debridement surgery early next week, according to interim manager Tony Mansolino. The good news is, Rodriguez avoided having Tommy John surgery or anything UCL related. If everything goes well, Rodriguez should be ready for the beginning of the 2026 season. Fantasy managers who were stashing Rodriguez can safely drop him now.Source: Jacob Calvin Meyer
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Jaydon Blue Standing Out "More and More"
Jaydon Blue "has been standing out more and more, to the point he's been getting some first-team reps" at training camp. Blue has showcased his speed, athleticism and quality hands, all while taking care of the football. He appears to be getting more comfortable with the offense with each passing day. However, Machota also cautions that Javonte Williams entered camp as the probable RB1, with veteran Miles Sanders also standing out early in camp. Even though Blue has really impressed the Dallas coaching staff this summer, it seems more likely that the Cowboys will lean on Williams and Sanders as much as possible in the early going in 2025. Blue's size probably rules him out from ever having a workhorse role in the NFL, but he's not a bad dynasty/keeper stash or a late-round flier in deeper fantasy formats this fall.Source: The Athletic - Jon Machota
The Athletic's Jon Machota writes that Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Sal Frelick Remains Out on Monday
Sal Frelick (knee) remains out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Frelick is set to miss his second straight game after exiting Saturday's game due to left knee soreness. The organization is hopeful to avoid a stint on the injured list, but they'll likely wait a few days to see how his knee responds. Brandon Lockridge will get another start in right field during Monday's game. Fantasy managers will need to check back on Tuesday for another update on his status.Source: mlb.com
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Isaac Paredes Won't Have Surgery, Hoping to Return This Year
Isaac Paredes (hamstring) will not undergo season-ending surgery and is hopeful to return to the field this season, according to general manager Dana Brown. Paredes recently received a PRP injection and will go the rest and rehab route instead of surgery. That being said, Paredes will attempt to resume baseball activities once the injection takes effect. It's worth noting that the Astros have added insurance at third base with Ramon Urias and Carlos Correa. Fantasy managers shouldn't count on getting anything out of Paredes this season. He still has a long way to go before getting back into game action.Source: Chandler Rome

Brendan Donovan Returns on Monday
Brendan Donovan (personal) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Donovan was scratched from the lineup on Sunday due to a personal matter. However, he has rejoined the team and is ready to play a day later. Donovan will cover second base and lead off against right-hander Tyler Glasnow on Monday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly ahead of first pitch.Source: mlb.com
St. Louis Cardinals infielder/outfielder Jauan Jennings Says He's Dealing With Calf Issue
Jauan Jennings (calf) is still dealing with a calf injury and didn't practice on Monday, per Nick Wagoner of ESPN. Head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked if it's "definitely health-related, not business-related," and responded: "You could ask him that but he tells me it's his calf. Gotta be delicate with those calves." Jenning is seeking a contract extension this summer, but Wagoner suggests it's a real injury, especially since he dealt with a calf injury in the spring. We'll call it a minor injury with a business element to it as well. The 28-year-old hasn't practiced in a week, but we'd be surprised if he's not ready for the start of the regular season, barring a setback. With Brandon Aiyuk (knee) likely to begin the year on the PUP, Jennings has a prime opportunity to be the team's WR1 to open the year. Jennings is a popular breakout candidate at the price of a WR4/flex.Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner

Daniss Jenkins Agrees to Two-Way Deal Wth Detroit
Daniss Jenkins agreed to a two-way contract with the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. Jenkins played in just seven regular-season Pistons games during last year's NBA campaign. He spent most of 2024-25 in the G League with the Motor City Cruise, averaging 18.5 points, 6.1 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.4 steals across 35.7 minutes per contest during 47 outings. The 23-year-old won't factor into fantasy as he will likely spend most of 2025-26 once again in the G League.Source: Keith Smith
According to Keith Smith of Spotrac.com, forward Johan Oviedo Activated for Season Debut on Monday
Johan Oviedo (lat) was activated from the 60-day injured list to make his season debut in Monday's series opener against the visiting San Francisco Giants at PNC Park. While the matchup is a nice one against the offensively-challenged Giants, fantasy managers will want to think twice before using Oviedo as a streamer after he missed all of 2024 due to Tommy John surgery and the first four months of this year with a right-lat strain. The 26-year-old will also likely be on a pitch count on Monday after he threw 62 pitches in his final minor-league rehab start. The Cuban hurler has a career 4.32 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with a below-average 19.6% strikeout rate and an elevated 10.8% walk rate as well. Oviedo showed some promising signs in 2023 but he was also plenty inconsistent, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect much to close out 2025.Source: MLB.com
Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Jaylen Martin Waived by Wizards
Jaylen Martin on Monday. Martin played in 16 NBA regular-season games last season, averaging 4.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists across 14.9 minutes per contest with the Nets and Wizards. Most of the 2024-25 campaign, Martin spent in the G League posting averages of 14.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in 28.0 minutes per game across 20 outings. The 21-year-old free agent will now look to land another opportunity before training camp in the fall.Source: Michael Scotto
Michael Scotto of USA Today reports that the Washington Wizards waived forward Josh Jung Back for the Rangers
Josh Jung (calf) is back in the team's starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the visiting New York Yankees and left-hander Max Fried and is serving as the designated hitter and is batting sixth. Jung will return to the starting nine after missing the last four games with calf soreness. Josh Smith will remain at third base and will bat sixth. Fantasy managers will be hoping that the 27-year-old Jung can pick up where he left off after rejoining the big-league club following a demotion to the minors. Since his return to the Rangers, Jung is slashing .367/.424/.567 with two home runs in nine games. Jung has plenty of power from the right side but has had trouble making consistent contact and staying on the field for long stretches of time. When healthy, though, he's Texas' starting third baseman. He has a tough matchup on Monday against a lefty he's never faced.Source: MLB.com
Texas Rangers third baseman Wilmer Flores Out Again on Monday
Wilmer Flores (hamstring) remains absent for Monday's series opener against the hosting Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. Dominic Smith is serving as the designated hitter and is batting fifth, while Rafael Devers is at first base and hitting second against Pirates right-hander Johan Oviedo, who is making his first start of the season. This will be Flores' third straight missed start after he hurt his left hamstring on Friday against the New York Mets, but the 33-year-old veteran is expected to avoid a trip to the 10-day injured list. Smith has two hits in four career at-bats against Oviedo, while Devers has a solo home run in his two career at-bats against him. Flores has been one of the Giants' best run-producers with 59 RBI in 342 at-bats, but for fantasy purposes, he's pretty mediocre everywhere else with 12 homers and 36 runs in 97 games.Source: MLB.com
San Francisco Giants first baseman Frankie Montas Will Make Next Outing on Saturday
Frankie Montas will make his next scheduled outing on Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers, according to manager Carlos Mendoza. However, Mets officials are discussing the possibility of using an opener in front of Montas this weekend, per MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. Montas got a late start to the 2025 season due to injury and hasn't been very good in his first seven starts for the Mets. The 32-year-old Dominican is currently sporting a 6.68 ERA (5.07 FIP) and 1.54 WHIP with 29 strikeouts and 10 walks over his 33 2/3 innings pitched. Montas has been roughed up early in games as well, so the Mets will be hoping he might be more effective if he doesn't start the game against the first-place Brew Crew on Saturday. Regardless of whether Montas is the traditional starter or bulk reliever this weekend, fantasy managers should be looking to stay away.Source: MLB.com - Anthony DiComo
New York Mets right-hander Tyler O'Neill Back From Illness on Monday
Tyler O'Neill (illness) is serving as the designated hitter and is batting fifth for Monday's series opener in Philadelphia against the Phillies and left-hander Jesus Luzardo. Jeremiah Jackson will make his fourth straight start and will be in right field and in the six-hole. A minor illness kept O'Neill out on Saturday and Sunday against the Chicago Cubs, but he'll return for the first game of a new series in Philly. The Canadian power/speed threat has struggled with injuries in his first year in Baltimore and has played in just 41 games, going 29-for-138 (.210) with only seven home runs and 21 RBI in 159 plate appearances. He's been a big disappointment for fantasy managers after he reached the 30-homer mark for the second time in his career with Boston in 2024. O'Neill has only faced Luzardo twice in his career but has a hit and an RBI.Source: MLB.com - Jake Rill
Baltimore Orioles outfielder De'Aaron Fox Inks Extension With Spurs on Monday
De'Aaron Fox (finger) agreed to sign a four-year, $229 million maximum contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs on Monday. The 27-year-old star guard landed with the Spurs before the trade deadline last February. He had finger surgery in March and could be ready for the start of training camp. Fox averaged 23.5 points and 6.3 assists across 62 games during the 2024-25 campaign, and after several seasons, he still remains a valuable fantasy asset.Source: Shams Charania
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, guard Cam Skattebo's MRI Exam Brings Optimism
Cam Skattebo (hamstring) was optimistic, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Skattebo will sit out of Monday's training camp practice, but Daboll said all the injured guys are "getting better." With Skattebo nursing a hamstring injury, Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary have seen more work with the first-team offense in camp. The 23-year-old's injury isn't serious, but don't be surprised if the G-Men hold Skattebo out of their first preseason contest this Saturday versus the Buffalo Bills. Although Skattebo is one of the slowest RBs in the league, he makes up for it by being extremely powerful and explosive in short areas. He has workhorse potential but will have to settle for a complementary role in his first NFL season alongside Tracy and Singletary. RotoBaller has Skattebo ranked as the RB37 heading into fantasy draft season.Source: ESPN New York - Jordan Raanan
The MRI exam on New York Giants rookie running back Luke Keaschall Could be Activated from Injured List on Tuesday
Luke Keaschall (forearm) reportedly has a locker in the Twins' clubhouse, which potentially indicates that he'll be activated from the 60-day IL on Tuesday. The Twins' third-ranked prospect has been rehabbing at Triple-A over the last couple of weeks, hitting .265 (13-for-49) with a double, a triple, an 8:6 BB:K, and seven steals in 14 games. The 22-year-old displayed the same type of stolen base prowess and hitting ability during his limited time with Minnesota earlier this season, hitting .368 (7-for-19) with three doubles, a 5:2 BB:K, and five steals in seven games for the Twins. Eligible at 1B, 2B, and OF in Yahoo! leagues, Keaschall would be worthy of a roster spot in most 12-team leagues.Source: Bobby Nightengale
Minnesota Twins second base prospect Charlie Condon Collects Three Hits, Drives in Three on Sunday
Charlie Condon broke out of his recent slump with a 3-for-5 day at the plate on Sunday, which included a triple, three RBI, and a run scored. The Rockies' top-ranked prospect came into the contest hitting .108 (4-for-37) over his previous 10 games at Double-A Hartford. For the season, the 2024 first-rounder is slashing .281/.388/.406 with five home runs in 57 games between High-A and Double-A. He missed the first couple of months of the campaign due to a wrist injury suffered in the spring, and with so much time missed, he'll need to start swinging a hot bat in order to make it to the big leagues by season's end. Otherwise, look for the 6-foot-6 power hitter to have fantasy relevance next season.Source: MiLB.com
Colorado Rockies third base/outfield prospect Isaac Guerendo to Miss a Couple of Weeks
Isaac Guerendo (shoulder) is expected to miss a couple of weeks, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports. Guerendo will miss time after getting injured during Saturday's training camp practice. While the 25-year-old still has time to get ready for the start of the regular season, he will miss important reps during practice and the preseason as he gets ready to serve as Christian McCaffrey's primary backup in 2025. With Guerendo now out for a few weeks, it will give rookie Jordan James more opportunities to run with the first-team offense when CMC needs a breather. In addition to James, Patrick Taylor Jr. and Ameer Abdullah should see more work in practices. When healthy, Guerendo's raw athletic abilities make him an intriguing handcuff if you take the leap on McCaffrey.Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco
San Francisco 49ers running back Still No Timetable for Najee Harris at Training Camp
Najee Harris (eye) is getting better and that Harris is walking laps around the field during training camp practices as part of his rehab process. However, there's still no timetable for his return, according to Kris Rhim of ESPN. Harris suffered a superficial eye injury in a fireworks accident on the Fourth of July and was placed on the Non-Football Injury list at the start of training camp in mid-July. While the former Steeler has been at the team's facilities and taking part in meetings, he has yet to get on the field heading into his first year with the team. The 27-year-old is expected to be ready for the start of the 2025 regular season in early September, but each day he misses practice is another day that rookie first-rounder Omarion Hampton becomes much more intriguing in fantasy as L.A.'s primary backfield weapon.Source: ESPN.com - Kris Rhim
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that running back Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel Limited With Injuries on Monday
Kenny Pickett (hamstring) and Dillon Gabriel (hamstring) are both limited during team drills at Monday's training camp practice due to hamstring injuries, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders (shoulder), who was held out of team drills on Saturday with shoulder soreness, is a full-go. Gabriel had seen increased snaps overall and with the first-team offense last week, but he'll take a step back to let his hamstring heal. The 24-year-old Gabriel's injury doesn't appear to be serious, so he should be back on the field sooner than later. Gabriel and Sanders don't really have a realistic chance to win the starting QB job in 2025, and they are merely trying to prove they are good long-term investments for the Browns. Pickett's hammy injury has increased the odds that veteran Joe Flacco will win the QB job to begin the season.Source: ESPN.com - Daniel Oyefusi
