Ozzie Albies Still Day-To-Day
1 year agoThe Atlanta Braves are still calling second baseman Ozzie Albies (hamstring) day-to-day and they have yet to decide if he'll be activated from the 10-day injured list for the weekend series on the road against the San Francisco Giants. Albies is eligible to return from the injured list on Friday for the first time since landing on the injured list on Aug. 15 with a left-hamstring strain. The 26-year-old switch-hitting slugger will return to being the team's regular second baseman when he's activated after clubbing 28 home runs, driving in 90 runs and stealing 11 bases in 457 at-bats before his injury while also hitting .267/.327/.514 with an .841 OPS. Until Albies is back, Nicky Lopez and Vaughn Grissom will continue to split playing time at the keystone.
