The Baltimore Orioles announced on Saturday that they placed infielder Ryan Mountcastle (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list with a right-hamstring strain and selected the contract of outfielder Jordyn Adams from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. The O's also recalled infield prospect Coby Mayo from Norfolk and designated catcher Chadwick Tromp for assignment. Mountcastle will miss at least the next 10 days after tweaking his right hamstring in Friday's win over the Chicago White Sox. In his absence, Baltimore could use a platoon at the hot corner between Ryan O'Hearn and Emmanuel Rivera. Before his injury, Mountcastle had been a pretty mediocre contributor for fantasy managers in deeper leagues with a .246/.280/.348 slash line, .628 OPS, only two homers, 15 RBI, 19 runs scored and a stolen base in 187 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
