Noah Song Reporting To Phillies Camp
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies reported on Wednesday that right-hander Noah Song was discharged from the Navy, and he's expected to report to spring training on Thursday. Song has been in the Navy the last two years and hasn't pitched in the minor leagues since 2019, so he has plenty of developing to do on the farm for Philadelphia. The 25-year-old right-hander was acquired from the Boston Red Sox in the Rule 5 draft. If the Phillies want to keep him around, they'll eventually have to keep him on their active roster for the entire 2023 campaign. At Low-A Lowell back in 2019, Song had a strong 1.06 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 19 strikeouts in only 17 innings over seven starts.
