Tampa Bay Lightning right-winger Nikita Kucherov will reportedly miss the entirety of the regular season due to a hip injury that requires surgery. The former league MVP (ranked #1 in Yahoo!'s pre-season rankings) is coming off a season in which he posted 85 points (33 goals, 52 assists) in 68 games and then led the Bolts in postseason scoring (34 points in 25 games) en route to winning his first Stanley Cup. The injury news will obviously result in a massive loss for fantasy owners and the Lightning alike but there is hope that the 27-year-old could be available for the start of the 2020-2021 postseason. Look for Patrick Kane to gain even more value in upcoming fantasy drafts as the sport's most valuable, healthy right-winger.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
