Nick Foles A Trade Candidate
5 years agoThere is interest around the league in Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles, but no substantive trade talks have happened yet, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The Super Bowl LII MVP with the Eagles, Foles has a fully guaranteed salary of $15.125 million in 2020 and $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses and a $250,000 workout bonus. He'd have a salary cap charge of $18.75 million if the team traded him. If Foles sticks with the team, he'll compete with Gardner Minshew as the starter heading into the 2020 season. The Colts could be a good fit for Foles, as he has history with head coach Frank Reich from their time in Philly. If he stays in Jacksonville, Foles would be more of a middling QB2 option in a run-first offense if he wins the job over Minshew.
