Mito Pereira received his tour card early by winning three times on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2021. The three-win promotion was the first since 2016, and the 26-year-old Chilean carried that momentum into three top-10s last season on the PGA Tour. Pereira is known as an excellent ball striker, gaining 2.6 strokes tee-to-green over his young career on the PGA Tour. Even though this is his first time playing The Farmers Insurance Open, Pereira could fit nicely but will need to rely on his strong tee-to-green game to contend. Last year, Pereira was well-owned almost every week, but he could be at an ownership discount because of the strong field and layoff entering the event. The 99th-ranked player in the world is one to watch this week at Torrey Pines.--Rob Giltner - RotoBaller
