Mike Davis Looks Good In Third-String Role
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Mike Davis was relegated to third-string duty on Thursday against the Packers, but he continued to put up great runs in his limited chances. Davis only touched the ball six times, but he finished with 50 all-purpose yards and averaged 6.5 YPC. With rookie Rashaad Penny suffering a sprained ankle, Davis would be the likely candidate to bump up to the No. 2 spot, but JD McKissic and CJ Prosise (supposedly) are expected to make their way back for next week's game, so work may be scarce. It's not clear yet how Seattle's going to handle the glut of runners, but no matter how it shakes out, it's probably not good for Davis' stats.
