Scherzer was needed for a relief appearance in the eighth inning, and he came through with three strikeouts in 14 pitches. He’ll be on the mound Sunday night and will be looking to avenge his troubling first start against the Brewers in which he gave up three earned runs early. The series is tied 1-1 and Scherzer will have the responsibility to either take the lead or fall into a nearly impossible deficit.--RotoBaller
