Max Mitchell To Compete At Right Tackle
1 year agoNew York Jets offensive tackle Max Mitchell, a fourth-round selection in last year's draft, missed time last year with a knee sprain and a hereditary blood-clotting condition, but he's had a strong offseason heading into his second NFL season. Mitchell started five games at right tackle last year and will compete for the job in training camp this summer. He was in the midst of a solid rookie season when blood clots were found in one of his lungs and his right calf, ending his season. The 23-year-old will be able to manage the condition by taking medications and could win the starting job to open the 2023 regular season if he continues to play well in training camp this summer.
