Matt Ryan Could Play "A Series Or Two" Sunday Against Browns
Matt Ryan is expected to see his first action of the preseason in the final contest Sunday against the Browns. The veteran signal-caller has given way to the backup quarterback competition in the first two games, a situation that has become even more important after the injury to projected backup A.J. McCarron. Tori McElhaney of Falcons.com reports that Ryan could be out there for a series or two, though it wouldn't be surprising to see him play even less than that. The Boston College product doesn't require preseason reps to be regular-season ready, even in the midst of learning a new system. There are some doubts about Ryan's post-Julio Jones fantasy effectiveness, though he still has enough weapons to be a high-floor option, particularly in 2QB leagues.
