Mason Taylor 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Could Be Fine, But The QB Situation Isn't
Mason Taylor with their 42nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. One of the biggest risers at any position throughout the pre-draft process, Taylor is a solid all-around TE that doesn't have a ton of flaws to his game. What does have a lot of flaws is the current Jets offense. Quarterback Justin Fields has never been able to support more than one fantasy-relevant pass-catcher for long stretches, and TE is a notoriously difficult position to master early for rookies. We've been spoiled in recent years by Sam LaPorta and Brock Bowers. There are too many question marks on the Jets passing offense to be able to project what Taylor will do in Year 1, but it probably won't be a whole lot. It'll be hard to trust starting him outside of deeper leagues or exotic leagues with multiple TE spots or a TEP. It would be unwise to expect much from any Jets offensive players in the passing and receiving game.
