Alex Bowman of Hendrick Motorsports finished fifth in this week's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Bowman started the race from the 21st position and showcased that he had one of the fastest cars in the field early on by making it to the top 10 in just four laps. As the field progressed through pit stops, Bowman briefly inherited the lead for two laps before pitting, and then he ended the stage in sixth, scoring target points. In the second stage, Bowman did obtain some damage from smacking the wall while racing three-wide against Denny Hamlin and Zane Smith. Bowman continued despite the damage and ended the stage in seventh, gaining more stage points. In the final stage, Bowman executed on his pit strategies and made it as high as second, failing to overtake teammate Kyle Larson, and during the race's final run, he went to third and regressed back to fifth. This would be Bowman's fourth top-5 finish of his Cup career at Kansas and his first since September 2022.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
