1 year agoThe Dallas Cowboys placed rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker (foot) on the Non-Football Injury list for the start of training camp on Tuesday. Schoonmaker was limited during offseason practices and now won't be joining the team early on for training camp due to a foot injury that apparently goes back to before this year's NFL draft. The 24-year-old second-round pick has an opportunity to earn some playing time in Dallas in his first NFL season now that Dalton Schultz is no longer around, but he's not off to a good start and will probably need some time to develop. Jake Ferguson and Peyton Hendershot will open camp with more opportunities to impress the coaching staff as they vie for playing time.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
